Perez Advances as Kempton is Ousted by Quads

Level 32 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Roberto Perez
Roberto Perez

Roberto Perez limped in preflop and Isaac Kempton checked, leading to a flop of 45J. Kempton checked to Perez and called a 16,000 bet.

Both players checked the J turn. The river came the J and Kempton placed a bet of 46,000. Perez quickly pushed forward a stack of green 25,000 chips, putting Kempton at risk. Kempton looked pained as he contemplated his decision. After about 30 seconds Kempton made the call.

Isaac Kempton: Q4
Roberto Perez: J6

Kempton's full house was no match for the quads of Perez and he was eliminated just shy of making the min-cash of $74,648. Perez will advance to the quarterfinals where he will have the difficult task of facing heads-up specialist Doug Polk in the event that Polk had dubbed the "Doug Invitational" on Day 1.
