Amsellem Shows the Aces

Paul Amsellem raised to 1,300 from early position and got called by the big blind leading to a 5Q9 flop.

The big blind checked, and Amsellem tossed out a bet of 2,000. The big blind put in the call and sent both players to the 8 turn card.

The big blind checked once again, and Amsellem continued with another bet, this time to 6,000.

The big blind tossed his cards in the muck, and Amsellem showed the AA to a few friends watching from the rail as they all clapped and cheered him on in dragging another pot.

Foxen Forces a Fold

The action was picked up on the turn with four players and the board reading KAQ8. A player in early position and another in middle position checked, and Alex Foxen bet 8,000, receiving a call from a player on the button while folding out the other two players.

Foxen fired again on the 2 river, this time for 25,000. After some deliberation, the button mucked their hand, and Foxen took down another nice pot uncontested.

Aguero Misses His Freeroll

Former professional footballer Sergio Aguero was spotted hiding in the Horseshoe blue section after making his way into the field midway through the day. Aguero was highly regarded as one of the best strikers of his generation while playing in the Premier League for Manchester City.

Aguero raised it up to 1,500 in middle position, and Michael Monroig three-bet to 4,200 on the button. Aguero called and they went heads-up to a flop of 542.

Aguero checked to Monroig, who continued with a bet of 5,500, and Aguero called. The turn brought the 10, and both players checked to the 9 on the river. Two more checks and Aguero tabled AJ, the same hand as Monroig with AJ, but Aguero picked up a freeroll on the turn.

Yokosawa bet 5,500, and his opponent called.

The J completed the board and Yokosawa contemplated for a bit before overbetting the pot for 25,000. His opponent quickly folded, and Yokosawa collected the chips.

Kido Doubles with Dream River

The board was already dealt out to the turn, reading Q6Q9. A player in middle position bet 7,000 and was called by Lindsay Kido, who was under the gun.

The river came an A, and the middle position player bet 45,000, effectively putting Kido all in if she made the call.

She did make the call, and when she turned over AA it was easy to see why.

Radanov Traps Comisso

Michael Comisso opened to 1,500 from under the gun and was called by the cutoff and Damjan Radanov in the blinds.

On the flop 296, Comisso bet another 3,000. It was too much for the cutoff, who folded, but not for Radanov, who called.

The 8 came on the turn, and both players checked. There was no action either on the river 4. However, Comisso was quite surprised when he saw AK in Radanov's hand. Comisso mucked his cards and let the pot go to Radanov.

Arieh Accumulating Chips

A player from early position opened to 1,200 and Josh Arieh three-bet to 3,700, receiving a call from his opponent.

Arieh fired a continuation bet of 2,100 on the QAA flop. His opponent made the fold and Arieh added more to his already impressive stack.

Blomstrand Wins with the Big Slick

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Michael Blomstrand raised on the button and the small blind called. The flop came down 105J and the small blind checked and Blomstrand made a bet of 2,300.

With the end of night bagging rearing it's head everyone was playing a lot tighter and both players checked down the turn 2 and the river 10.

The small blind showed Q9 for the missed flush and Blomstrand turned over the AK for high card ace.
