Mahajan building Chips

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

As told by the players, a player in middle position raised to 700 and four players called which included the button, Ravinder Mahajan from the Empire Poker Room Team from London, England. The flop came out AxKx10x and everyone checked to Mahajan who placed a bet of 1,000 and only the middle position preflop raiser made the call.

The turn brough the 3 and Mahajan was checked to again and he made a bet of 2,800 and received the call.

The river was the Q and once checked to Mahajan kept up the aggression and placed a bet of 7,000. The middle position player paused to think and made the call. Mahajan turned over KxJx for the straight and the other player mucked.

Butler Check Calls His Way to a Pot Against Roberts

Christian Roberts raised to 700 from under the gun. He was called by Steve Butler in early position, and the middle position player raised to 1,700. Both remaining players called to the flop.

The flop came 9A2, and both early players were quick to check. Middle position led out for 3,700, while only Butler called.

While the 4 peeled off on the turn, Butler checked to the last aggressor. They fired for 6,500 and Butler made the call.

The river came the 2, and both players slowed down with a check around. His opponent showed JJ, while Butler revealed A3 to scoop the pot.

Kenney Gets a Fold

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Ebony Kenney opened to 700 from middle position and was called by Manuel Ruivo on the button. The player in the big blind then squeezed to 2,800 and only Kenney called.

Both players checked on the 7210 flop and the big blind checked again on the 10 turn. Kenney annoucned a bet of 3,300 and her opponent quickly folded.

Molnar Takes A 4-Way Pot

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Laszlo Molnar opened to 700 from under the gun and was called by three players: one in middle position, and both players in the blinds.

On the flop 474, all players checked. But things changed on the turn 10, where Molnar bet 1,800. The player in early position folded, as well as the big blind, but David Richards the small blind called.

The river was the 2, and Molnar bet again, this time 4,500. Facing the bet, Richards took only a few seconds to fold.

Magtoto Gets the Fold from Lococo

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Alejandro Lococo raised 600 from the cutoff and button Dante Magtoto and big blind Vanessa Castro called.

Castro led out 2,000 on a AQ6 flop and both called.

The Q turn was checked around to Magtoto who put in a 3,000 bet. Castro folded, and Lococo showed an ace before he folded. Magtoto reciprocated, flashing two sixes for a flopped set.

Beinner Blasts the River

Alexandru Papazian opened 800 in early position and Jeffrey Tomlinson called from a couple of spots to his left before Matthew Beinner three-bet 3,600. Both Papazian and Tomlinson called.

All three players checked the J76 flop to see the 7 hit the turn.

Papazian checked once more before Tomlinson dropped a red chip across the line for a bet of 5,000. Beinner called quickly and Papazian took a few extra seconds before doing the same.

The 2 landed on the river and the action checked to Beinner as he blasted 12,000 across the line, which was enough to drag the pot as both players cards hit the muck.

Szerszen's Quads Interrupt His Joke

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Czeslaw Szerszen was telling the table a joke about a toothbrush when he got involved in a pot against an opponent on the button.

The board read 7327 and the button bet 4,500. Szerszen called from under the gun as the 9 fell on the river.

Szerszen instantly tossed in 2,000 and his opponent called. Szerszen turned over 77, revealing his turned quads, as he dragged in the pot.

"You should've told more jokes," tablemate Nick Vertucci told him.

"So what's the punchline," the dealer asked, but Szerszen was too busy stacking his new chips to continue the joke.

Chen Takes One Down

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

In a heads-up pot with just over 2,000 in the middle on a board showing 10544, Andrew Chen bet out 700 from the big blind and his opponent in middle position made the call.

The 3 completed the board and Chen kept up the aggression with a bet of 800. His opponent took a few seconds, but eventually folded and the pot was sent to the Canadian.

Gaines Preserves His Stack

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Joshua Lien and Glen Gaines were heads-up in a pot of around 11,000 with the board reading 10767. Lien led out with a bet of 9,000 from under the gun and Gaines took a minute before calling.

The river brought the 4 and Lien jammed all in for his last 25,900 chips. Gaines went into the tank for a couple of minutes as others at the table stood up to stretch their legs. Gaines finally folded and Lien assured him it was the correct decision.

"Good laydown," Lien said as he tabled his 1010 for a full house.
