Picquelle Attempts to Punt his Chips Off

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Sean Picquelle was under the gun and limped in the pot and the player beside also limped but the cutoff had other ideas and raised to 2,200. Picquelle decided to take a stand and three-bet to 7,000 but the cutoff was not going anywhere and five-bet to 16,000. Picquelle stuffed all of his chips in for 47,000 and the cutoff called.

The board came out QA829 and Picquelle was unsuccessful at the punt off and doubled his stack. Picquelle requested the title of this post and laughed as he stacked his chips.

Ozgur Sends Out Hutter

Action was picked up on the turn in a pot with 6,400 in the middle.

The board read 105AK and Hutter checked over to Ozgur who bet 2,200. Hutter responded by moving all in for 9,700 and Ozgur called.

The river J was not the king that Hutter needed to fill up against Ozgur's set and he exited the tournament.

At another table, Bryn Kenney was also eliminated from the main event.

Emmett Wins a Hand for PokerNews

"I'm playing this only because PokerNews is watching" said Randall Emmet before opening under the gun to 1,500. He picked up calls by the two players next to him and the button.

The flop revealed A63 and Emmett continued to bet for 1,500, commenting "I need to do it because PokerNews is writing the hand!" . Once again, his three opponents called.

On the K turn, Emmett sent 7,000 in the middle and it was enough to make his opponents fold and win the pot.

"Watch this" said Emmett before tabling K3 for two pair. "Finally I'll be on PokerNews when I'm winning hand!" added he jokingly.

Glenn Lafaye and Anas Benohod built a pot of around 20,000 heading to the 7K8 flop when Lafaye bet 7,000 from the hijack. Benohod instantly moved a stack of chips forward for a raise, and Lafaye snap-called for his last 39,300.

Lafaye had flopped top pair but was in bad shape against Benohod's aces. The turn, though, came the K and Lafaye made trips to take the lead.

Benohod now needed to hit the last remaining ace in the deck but couldn't find it on the 7 river as Lafaye doubled up.

Bitty Breaks Through

On a three-way flop of 27K, Stephen Bartlett and Jack 'Bitty' Bittker checked from the big blind and early positon, and the middle position player then bet 1,600.

Both Bartlett and Bittker both called and the trio went to the turn 6, where everyone checked.

On the river 8, Bartlett led out for 4,500 and Bittker thought for a few seconds before making the call and the other player quickly folded.

Bartlett then flipped over A7 for a pair of sevens but then Bittker revealed KJ for top pair to take down the sizeable pot.

The action was picked up in a heads-up pot with close to 10,000 in the middle on a board showing K1077. Harrison Brown led out from under the gun for 6,600 and his opponent in the hijack went in the tank.

After close to 30 seconds, the hijack player folded and the pot was sent to Brown who flashed the 9 to keep his opponent guessing.

Yoo Flops a Set

On a completed board of Q726A, and about 23,000 in the middle, Austin Yoo fired a bet of 35,000.

Fatima Nanji was in the tank for about a minute and a half before deciding to make the call. Yoo tabled 22 and Nanji mucked her hand.

Engel Finds a Pair After Missing a Flush

Ari Engel raised to 1,200 in the hijack and Eric Phillips reraised to 3,500 in the cutoff. Engel called and the flop of Q108 was spread across the felt.

Engel check-called a bet of 4,000 from Phillips and the 7 landed on the turn. Both players checked and the 10 paired the board on the river. Engel checked again and Phillips checked it back. Engel turned over 74 for a pair of sevens and Phillips looked dumbfounded as he mucked his cards.
