Shoreman Runs Into It Late on Day 2abc

Jon Shoreman was playing for a 57,000 pot in the final stretch of Day 2, and there was a completed board of 391036. Shoreman checked to his opponent, who opted to put out a single chip of the T-25,000 denomination for a bet of the same amount.

Shoreman instantly called but shook his head once his opponent showed the KQ for the king-high flush. Shoreman mucked his cards and dropped back down a bit in chips after a fruitful period.

Aksoy Leaves Borland Steaming

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Quincy Borland raised to 6,000 and received three callers, including Tinay Aksoy on the button.

The flop came 279 and Borland continued for 18,000. Only Aksoy called to the 5 turn where Borland now checked.

Aksoy bet 37,000 and Borland called. The river came the K and Borland checked again before Aksoy moved all in for 127,000.

Borland spent several minutes in the tank before calling the shove. Aksoy turned over 86 for the turned straight and Borland slammed the table hard with his hand as he surrendered the massive pot.

Brewer Brewing His Success

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

A player in early position raised to 4,000 which saw action fold around to Chris Brewer in the hijack who three bet to 14,000 which saw action fold around to the initial raiser who called.

The flop of K32 saw the early position player check over to Brewer who bet 8,000 and his opponent called.

On the 10 turn, action checked over to Brewer once more who bet 45,000 and his opponent wasted little time in folding to the two time bracelet winner as he looked to rise up the WSOP POY rankings.

Abernathy Eliminated after Getting Aces Cracked

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Sam Abernathy, who, according to the players at her table, was recently left short-stacked after Martin Zamani made trip tens with Kx10x against her pocket aces, moved all in for her last 23,000 chips and was called by Stuart Taylor who had her covered.

The board ran out 263J8 and Abernathy was sent to the rail while Taylor added to his stack.

Chang Takes Down a Big Pot Without a Showdown

A player in early position raised to 5,000, the hijack three-bet to 18,000 and Lawrence Chang in the big blind cold four-bet to 43,000. The original raiser folded and the hijack called.

On a board of 1073, Chang continued for 27,000. His opponent in the hijack folded AK face up in frustration allowing Chang to claim this pot.

Huynh Gets a Fold from Potts

Nicholas Potts limped under the gun and it folded to Kenny Huynh who raised to 8,000 in the hijack. Potts made the call.

The flop revealed 6K and Potts check-called Huynh for 9,000. The turn was the 10 and this time Potts check-folded after Huynh sent 20,000.

Huynh showed K and Potts told to the table he had Ax10x.

Saraiva Sends One Out at the End

Heitor Saraiva and an opponent had built a pot of around 140,000 heading to the river on a board of 958J6 when Saraiva slid forward a stack of green 25,000 chips to put his opponent all in.

His opponent, with around 80,000 remaining, tanked for several minutes at the end of the night before calling as Saraiva showed Q10 for the turned straight.

The all-in player threw his cards into the muck before making a quick exit. The dealer retrieved two fives and flipped them over. "I don't care. Just give me the chips," Saraiva said.

Merk Chips Up During Final Stages

On a heads-up flop of QJ2, Abby Merk bet when checked to and her table neighbour called which brought them to the A on the turn. McNeil Wins Big Pot Late On
