With some 30,000 in the middle to the 7♣6♥2♦9♠4♠ river, the player in the small blind checked. Barny Boatman in the big blind considered his options for half a minute and knuckled it back. The small blind showed the A♠10♥ and Boatman won the pot with the 10♠10♣.
Jason Somerville and Diego Ventura built a pot of around 70,000 heading to the turn on a board of K♠3♠4♣2♥ when Somerville, in early position, bet 30,000.
Ventura, to his direct left, then moved all in and Somerville snap-called for around 30,000 more. Ventura showed A♠A♣, but Somerville had outflopped him with K♦K♣ for top set.
The 3♣ fell on the river and Somerville secured the double up while leaving Ventura on a short stack.
Jack O'Neill had raised to 10,000 from middle position when an early position player reraised to 38,000 all in. O'Neill considered the all in while other players at his table goaded him. He found the call, and saw that he was behind.
Early Position: A♦Q♦
Jack O'Neill: A♠J♠
The 8♣Q♣10♠ flop gave the early position player top pair, but also gave O'Neill plenty of opportunities to turn the tables. One of them hit immediately on the turn, K♠, and the early position player rationalized as he stood up, "It's okay. I wanted you to call." A 2♦ river made the bust out official.
"Call this one 'O'Neill Gets It in Bad and Gets Lucky'," suggested another player to a round of laughs.
Eli Elezra raised to 4,500 in middle position and Sam Chartier defended from the big blind. The flop came 8♠6♦5♠ and Chartier check-called a bet from Elezra.
The turn brought the 3♦ and Chartier checked again. Elezra fired out a bet of 11,000 and Chartier called to see the 2♦ on the river. Chartier checked for the third time and Elezra threw in a bet of 15,500. Chartier thought for a minute and then called.
"I got it!" Elezra said as he turned over A♦8♦ for the nut flush. Chartier conceded and Elezra raked in the pot.
