Nolet Raises River

Picking up the action on the river, Guillaume Nolet on the button was involved in a hand with a player in late position. With the board reading 410923 the late position player led out for 7,000. Nolet responded by raising to 25,000 and his opponent quickly called, tabling 99. The set of nines was no good as Nolet held AK for the second nuts to take down a sizable pot.

"Adam22" No Longer in the Mix

Popular podcast host Adam "Adam22" Grandmaison had entered his second ever WSOP Main Event and tweeted he spun up the stack to 88,000 in the first level of play. He was moved into the Silver section of the Horseshoe Event Center from where he vanished just before the previous break.

According to players at the table, Grandmaison got it in with around 40,000 and ace-queen off suit but ran smack dab into the pocket kings of Julie Bae. The 6x4x4x flop kept Grandmaison in contention but another king on the turn gave Bae an unbeatable full house.

Bonta Takes One Down Without Seeing a Flop

The player on the button raised to 2,500, finding Vincent Bonta in the big blind who three-bet to 8,000.

The button responded with a four-bet to 18,500 and Bonta came back quickly with a five-bet jam for 63,000.

Bonta's opponent remained in the tank for some time before finally deciding to fold.

Desimone Can't Tackle Seymour

Heads-up on a board of 3J65, Richard Seymour bet 10,000 from under the gun before John Desimone raised from the small blind to 26,000.

Seymour tanked for a moment before calling as the 5 fell on the river. Desimone then slowed down and checked, and Seymour quickly checked back and showed QQ. Desimone mucked and the Pro Football Hall of Famer took the pot.

William Berman stopped by to visit with the PokerNews team and share the details of a recent hand. Berman had one opponent at risk in a hand that went all in before the flop.

The board ran out 21072Q and Berman overcame a flopped set of sevens to pick up a queen on the river to eliminate his opponent. Berman is now at double the starting stack after he started the day with 18,000.

Tachibana Eliminated by Roesel

Two shorter stacks got their chips into the middle as Dale Roesel was all-in for 26,100 with the KQ. Travis Tachibana tabled his AQ and was covered by 6,000 chips.

The board ran out 101098J and and Roesel rivered a king-high straight.
