Dwan Blasts the Turn on Dodd

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Tom Dwan
Tom Dwan

A player in the cutoff raised to 2,600 before the flop and Tom Dwan called on the button, as did big blind Owen Dodd.

The flop came 425 and action checked to Dwan, who fired out 4,500. Only Dodd called as he and Dwan went heads-up to the 9 turn.

Dodd checked again and Dwan tossed in 25,000, enough to put Dodd all in. Dodd gave it some thought before preserving his last chips for another hand.

"It was close," he told Dwan.

Lightbourne Loses a Small Chunk to Lesur

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

In a three-bet pot to the 1083 flop, Iaron Lightbourne bet 5,000. Lionel Lesur then raised to 11,900, leaving himself exactly two T-25,000 chips behind. Lightbourne gave him a staredown and folded.

Assorted Chip Counts from Horseshoe Orange, Blom Eliminated

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Sisler Somehow Survives

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Aiki Yoshida opened to 2,000 from the cutoff and then called after Scott Sisler three-bet to 12,000 out of the small blind.

Sisler moved all in for a little under 30,000 on the 53Q flop and Yoshida made the call with the covering stack to put his opponent at risk.

Scott Sisler: 77
Aiki Yoshida: AQ

Yoshida had flopped well to leave Sisler's pocket pair drawing thin. The 9 turn changed nothing, leaving Sisler needing to find one of the two remaining sevens in the deck on the river. That is exactly what happened after the 7 completed the board to deliver a brutal beat to Yoshida while handing Sisler a full double.

Yau Forces Hinkle Out on the Turn

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Ethan Yau
Ethan Yau

Ethan "Rampage" Yau opened to 2,200 in middle position and Mason Hinkle defended the big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of J94 and Hinkle led out for 4,000. Yau called.

The 7 landed on the turn and Hinkle checked it over to Yau, who dropped 12,000 across the line. Hinkle thought about it for only a few seconds and pitched his cards into the muck.

Thomas Gets Value With Rockets

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

In a four-way pot of just over 9,000 on a flop showing J22, the big blind, Tom Thomas under the gun, and the cutoff all checked to the button, who bet 2,800. Only Thomas came along.

The 3 hit the turn and both players checked to the 5 river. Thomas led out for 6,000 and his opponent took a few seconds before making the call.

Thomas tabled AA for the overpair and winning hand when his opponent mucked their cards.

Newman Leaves Zagreda on Fumes

Level 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

William Newman raised all in for around 35,000 from the cutoff and Pal Zagreda called in the hijack once the table folded back around to him.

William Newman: 99
Pal Zagreda: 44

Zagreda was looking for help with most of his stack also in the middle, but none arrived on the AQ2Q6 board as Newman doubled up. Zagreda was left with just 2,000 and busted the next hand.

Gerber Limps and Defends

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Stephen Gerber limped in the small blind and the big blind raised to 3,500. Gerber made the call. The flop was K8J, not the big-blind special. That did not stop the big blind from betting 2,500 and Gerber called.

Both players checked the 6 on the turn.

The river was the danger card A and Gerber took the betting lead for 5,000 and received a call from the big blind. The big blind mucked after Gerber revealed the Q10 for Broadway.
