Garcia Back in the Game

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Ryan Garcia found himself all in again, this time for 26,000 from the big blind. He was called by an opponent in the cutoff.

Ryan Garcia: AQ
Opponent: AJ

Garcia had his opponent dominated heading to the Q82 flop, which gave him top pair on a big lead in the hand. The J turn gave his opponent some outs, but Garcia made trips on the Q river to secure another double up.

"You had 7,000. Back in the game. Remember, if you win the Main Event you owe this table," a tablemate said.

"Oh, now you want to start talking about that," Garcia replied with a laugh.

Gabriel Leaves with a Smile

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The player under the gun raised to 4,000 and David Jenkins in middle position called and Quene Gabriel in the big blind also called. The flop came out 75J and the initial raiser sent out his continuation bet of 5,000 and was called by both players.

The turn 4 was checked through by all the players.

On the river Q Gabriel made her move and moved all in for 25,000. The player under the gun gulped and folded and Jenkins made the call.

Quene Gabriel: 98
David Jenkins: JQ

Jenkins took it down with top two pair. Gabriel left with a big smile, thanked everyone and hugged her rail.

Hashimoto Makes a Tricky Call

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Picking up the action on the river, Akira Hashimoto in late position was involved in a hand with Danny Wong in the big blind as well as a player in the cutoff. With the board reading 79742 action checked to the cutoff and he bet a chunky 32,000. Wong thought for quite some time before eventually deciding to fold while Hashimoto also did not act immediately. The Japanese player did end up making the call with A10 and was rewarded with the pot after his opponent turned over QJ for the missed flush draw.

Shapiro Spikes The River in Monster Pot

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Jeffrey Shapiro was all in and at risk against Brett McCollum on a board of 9x9x10x10x with over 300,000 in the middle.

Jeffrey Shapiro: Qx9x
Brett McCollum: 89

It turned out Shapiro was freerolling against McCollum, and the Qx river improved Shapiro to queens-full of tens — sending him the monster pot late in the evening.

Wong Forces Tuominen Out of the Pot

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

With about 13,000 in the middle on the K93 flop, Danny Wong check-called a bet of 5,000 from Eemil Tuominen.

When the 2 hit the turn, both players tapped the table.

The 6 landed on the river, and Wong stacked up a multi-colored bet and splashed it into the middle.

Tuominen instantly asked for a count and after hearing it was 13,500, he tank-folded.

Soverel Sees Three Folds

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Recelent bracelet winner Sam Soverel is one of the latest players to join the Red section in the final stretch of the day. After a raise from early position, the cutoff called and so did Soverel on the button. The big blind followed suit as well and a flop of 436 was seen four-way.

The big blind checked before early position bet out 5,000. The cutoff called but Soverel raised it up to 17,000. The big blind then folded and, after a quick pause, the two players who had put money in the pot followed as well, letting out little sighs in the process.
