The Sun Shines on Yedalian

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Brandon Sunshine was in the hijack and bet for an unseen amount on a board of 824K. Sevag Yedalian was on the button and made the call, and the two had now created a pot of over 100,000.

The K river was anti-climatic, however, as both players now checked. Sunshine tabled Q10 for just queen-high and Yedalian showed A8 for a pair of eights in response. Yedalian raked in a nice pot and he plays almost double the average.

Bohlman Gets Picked Off

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Picking up the action on the flop, Scott Bohlman in the cutoff was involved in a hand with a player in middle position. With the board reading 894 action checked to Bohlman and he fired off 10,000. His opponent made the call.

Both players checked through the 8 turn to the 2 river at which point the middle position player checked once more. Bohlman decided to go for the overbet, pushing 50,000 into a pot of around 40,000. That sizing appeared to make his opponent uncomfortable but the middle position player did eventually find a call. Bohlman could only muster J10 for the missed straight draw, falling to the A9 of his opponent.
