Gerrity Gets a Fortunate Runout

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Koveh Waysei bet 50,000 from the cutoff on a flop of 7210 before Nicholas Gerrity, in the big blind, raised to 165,000. Waysei called to the J turn.

Gerrity then continued betting, this time for 275,000, and Waysei called once again. The river came the 8 and Gerrity fired out 335,000.

Waysei spent a few minutes in the tank counting out his stack and rechecking his cards before folding. "If you shoved, I don't know what I would've done," Gerrity told him, showing J8 for running two pair as he took the pot.

"So lucky. You have no idea," Waysei added.

"That's what we're all trying to do here, get lucky," Gerrity replied.
