Henry Chan

Henry Chan pushed all in for his last 1,900,000 in early position and was called by Ryan Tosoc on the button. Jan-Peter Jachtmann reshoved all in from the big blind and Tosoc was forced to get out of the way.

Jan-Peter Jachtmann: 99

Chan was in trouble with Jachtmann holding a pair one-better than his. The board ran out K65K3 and Jachtmann's pair of nines held up to eliminate Chan.

Das Shows Another Successful Bluff

Level 32 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Anirban Das
Anirban Das

Anirban Das raised to 600,000 from under the gun and Jack O'Neill called from one seat over, as did Steven Jones. The trio headed to the A87 flop on which Das checked. O'Neill bet 600,000 and Jones called before Das went for a check-raise to 3,200,000.

O'Neill quickly folded while Jones went into a brief tank. He then opted to fold and requested "show the bluff!"

Das obliged, silently flipping over the KJ without any celebration or uproar.

"One hundred percent," Jones added and Das raked in the pot.

Jones made up for the losses in another three-bet pot soon after that only went to the turn.

Mark Teltscher Eliminated in 32nd Place ($280,100)

Level 32 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Mark Teltscher
Mark Teltscher

Juan Maceiras Lapido opened to 600,000 from early position and the action folded to big blind Mark Teltscher, who made the call. The two saw a flop of 398 and Teltscher checked to Maceiras Lapido, who made a continuation-bet of 800,000. Teltscher then thought for a bit before going all in for around 5,000,000 chips and Maceiras Lapido snap-called.

Mark Teltscher: Q9
Juan Maceiras Lapido: 1010

Teltscher had flopped top pair but was still an underdog to Maceiras Lapido's overpair. Teltscher would receive no help on the A7 runout and he proudly left the tournament area after a deep run in the 2023 Main Event.

Holzner Doubles, Leaves Chan Short

Level 32 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Henry Chan raised to 600,000 in the cutoff with K5, and Daniel Holzner flat-called on the button with AJ. They went heads up to a flop of Q102 and Chan continued with a bet of 650,000. Holzner called, and the K landed on the turn.

Chan announced all in on the turn, and Holzner instantly called off his stack of 3,400,000.

Holzner held AJ for the nut straight and had the checkmark sealed. The river was the Q, and Holzner earned himself a double-up.

Payne Rivers a Flush to Cause Pain to Maceiras Lapido

Level 32 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Juan Maceiras Lapido opened to 600,000 from middle position and Joshua Payne three-bet to 1,800,000 on the button.

"You at least have to look!" said Maceiras Lapido before calling.

"I did," replied Payne.

Maceiras Lapido checked on the flop of Q3J and Payne continued for 1,400,000. Maceiras Lapido check-called again as Payne sized up to 2,700,000 when the turn brought a third heart.

Maceiras Lapido checked once more on the 4 river and Payne pulled the trigger with a bet of 9,500,000.

"I'm close to calling with a sh*t hand," Maceiras Lapido said before doing so.

Payne announced a flush before tabling K9 and it was good to win the sizable pot from the now-former chip leader.

Kothari Contemplating Next Moves

Level 32 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Jack O'Neill chipped back up in two pots without showdown while Anirban Das and Ryan Tamanini lost a small fraction of their stacks.

Steven Jones then raised to 650,000 in the cutoff and it folded to Harsheel Kothari in the big blind. He tanked for four minutes and actively engaged in table chat, at some point asking if Jones had ace-five.

"I just think I am flipping there," Kothari added soon after before he ended up sigh-folding after all the chatter.

Adam Walton raised to 600,000 in early position and Andrew Hulme called on the button. Bryan Obregon ripped all in for 6,825,000 from the small blind and Walton called, prompting Hulme to fold his A9.

Bryan Obregon: AK
Adam Walton: JJ

It was a coin flip but the flop of J62 put Walton well out front with a set of jacks. The Q on the turn made things sweaty but the 7 on the river bricked out for Obregon who exited the tournament area.
