Ghio Puts Hawkins to the Test

Both players checked the KQ4 flop before Hawkins led out for 400,000 on the 8 turn.

Ghio called and Hawkins made another small bet on the 6 river, this time for 300,000. Ghio then moved all in and Hawkins, with 1,800,000 remaining, tanked for nearly a minute before he folded.

The action folded to Juan Maceiras Lapido in the small blind and he limped in. Andrey Pateychuk checked his big blind and a flop of 6Q9 was dealt.

Maceiras Lapido bet out 300,000 before Pateychuck raised to 900,000. Maceiras Lapido made the call before both players checked the A turn. On the 8 river, Maceiras Lapido checked once more and Pateychuk bet 1,800,000 this time.

After some speech play, Maceiras Lapido made the call and got shown J7 fora bluffed jack-high. Macerias Lapido played two pair with 86 and extended his chip lead.

Alexander Villa raised to 525,000 in the cutoff and Jose Aguilera defended from the big blind. The flop came 865 and Villa continued with a bet of 850,000. Aguilera check-raised to 2,500,000 and Villa called.

The turn brought the A and Aguilera slid out a bet of 2,000,000. Villa again called and the 7 completed the board. Aguilera announced all in, putting Villa to the test for his remaining stack of roughly 7,400,000. Villa thought for nearly half of the break and then called it off. Aguilera showed 88 for a set of eights while Villa was left with A8.

Kimmel Bets Big Into Break

Sachin Joshi raised to 525,000 from under the gun and Christopher Kimmel called in the small blind.

The flop came 493 and Kimmel checked over to Joshi, who continued for 900,000. Kimmel then put in a raise to 2,300,000 and Joshi called.

The rest of the table had already left for the break by the time the 7 fell on the turn. Kimmel paused for a minute before betting 3,600,000. Joshi quickly folded and Kimmel took the pot.

Massive Pot Goes to Lapido

Juan Maceiras Lapido opened to 500,000 in the cutoff and Dean Hutchison three-bet to 2,500,000 in the small blind.

"Uh, oh! How much is that?" Lapido asked before calling. "I'm not going anywhere."

Hutchison continued for 1,850,000 on the J33 flop and Lapido raised to 4,500,000. Hutchison called as the camera crew worked its way over.

Hutchison checked on the J turn and Lapido sized down to 3,500,000. Hutchison again called. Hutchison checked once more on the 4 river and Lapido pulled the trigger and announced "all in."

Hutchison went deep into the tank for over five minutes as he considered calling off with his final 8,500,000. He eventually folded and Lapido wiped his forehead as those at the table encouraged him to turn over a bluff.

"I may have been bluffing with the best hand, but I don't think so. I had two pair. Better than jacks and threes."
