Kornuth Strikes Back

Level 1 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Action was picked up in a four-way pot with Galen Hall in the big blind and Chance Kornuth on the button.

The flop read Q85 and all players checked to the 6 turn where action checked around to Kornuth who bet 5,500. The small blind folded and Hall raised to 21,000 which only Chance called.

On the river 10, Hall bet 40,000, prompting Kornuth to use a time extension. Kornuth counted out the call, looked over to Hall and then tossed it into the center.

Hall tabled A5 for just a pair of fives and a flush blocker, which was no good against Kornuth's KQ for top pair.

Roman Hrabec

In the last hand of the previous level, Dylan Linde opened to 2,500 from the cutoff. Roman Hrabec and Brandon Wilson called from the button and big blind.

Action checked to Hrabec on the KQ7 flop and he bet 2,500. Wilson was the only caller. The Q turn then checked through to the 7 river. Wilson checked once more after using his shot clock. Hrabec also used his 30-second allowance before making it 14,000. Wilson made a one-chip call after some thought and mucked after Hrabec tabled 74, which was good for a full house.

As the hand played out, there was some action on a nearby table.

Jun Obara opened 3,500 before Espen Jorstad three-bet to 13,500. Obara responded by making it to 33,500 and snap-folded when Jorstad ripped in his starting stack.
