Rocco Busts Yau

Level 15 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Ethan Yau
Ethan Yau

When it folded around to Ethan Yau on the button he decided now was the time to commit his last 420,000 into the middle.

Paul Jager was in the small blind and went deep into the tank, using possibly his first time extension of the event. As he slid his time extension to the dealer, Michael Rocco put in calling chips and turned over pocket jacks, mistakingly thinking Jager had folded. After the floor was called over, it was settled that Rocco's call would stand with the action back on Jager. It didn't take long for Jager to fold his hand, and the cards were revealed.

Ethan Yau: A6 All in
Michael Rocco : JJ

Yau flopped a six on the 627 flop, but didn't improve any further as the 5 turn, and 3 river cemented his elimination from the event.

After the hand Rocco commented to Jager "you never use time extensions". Rocco was then issued a one-hand penalty by the floor staff.

Lin Can't Fold His Way to the Final Table

Level 15 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Tony Lin
Tony Lin

Ren Lin has spent the last few levels folding emphatically and announcing "fold to the final table" every time.

As a result, Lin got down to just 45,000 before he started scoping out the other stacks in the room.

"Anyone shorter than me?" Lin said as he waved his chips around. "Anyone shorter than one big blind?"

"I don't know how Ren is still in this tournament," Alex Foxen said.

Finally, Lin found a hand good enough to go with as action folded to him in late position. After fumbling around in his backpack, he pulled out a "No Gamble No Future" sticker and stuck in front of him in lieu of an all-in button.

"All in! Let's go!" Lin cheered as action folded around to Vlastimil Pustina in the small blind.

"You look or no look? Oh, you're small blind," said Lin.

Pustina raised and Lin was ready to go. "Come on baby! One time! You double me up, we go to strip club! "Deuce? Strip club."

Ren Lin: A2 All in
Vlastimil Pustina: AQ

The flop of Q3J paired both player's kickers, but the Q turn had Lin crying "ay ya ya ya ya ya" before the J river.

"No more strip club," he said. "No bluff, no future."

Lijo Chips Up; Lichtenberger Puts a Beat on Suvarna

Level 15 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Lander Lijo
Lander Lijo

Action folded to Lander Lijo in the small blind and he made it 105,000. Brandon Wilson defended his big blind.

On the 996 flop, Wilson called for 75,000 before the 7 turn checked through to the 4 river.

Lijo sized up to 285,000 and Wilson quickly folded.

As that hand ended, a big pot was brewing between Andrew Lichtenberger and Santhosh Suvarna.

With around 380,000 in the middle on the K4K3 board. Lichtenberger checked from the big blind, prompting Suvarna to fire out 60,000. Lichtenberger jammed for 285,000 and was snap-called.

Andrew Lichtenberger: K9All in
Santhosh Suvarna: 33

Lichtenberger flopped trips but Suvarna turned a full house to have the best hand.

The 4 came in on the river, double pairing the board to give "Chewy" a better full house for the double up.

Lichtenberger's Luck Runs Out

Level 16 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Andrew Lichtenberger
Andrew Lichtenberger

Michael Rocco and Andrew Lichtenberger were in a heads-up pot with the board reading Q3J2A.

With around 400,000 in the middle, Rocco put out a stack of 1,000,000 to put Lichtenberger all in for less. Lichtenberger used a time chip and called.

Rocco showed 54 for a rivered Wheel, which crushed the K3 of Lichtenberger as "LuckyChewy" hit the rail.

Suvarna Three-Outs Jager

Level 16 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Santhosh Suvarna
Santhosh Suvarna

Santhosh Suvarna open-jammed a stack of around 400,000 on the button and Paul Jager re-shoved in the small blind to bring a reluctant fold from Michael Rocco in the big blind.

Santhosh Suvarna: A7 All in
Paul Jager: AJ

Rocco quickly got up from his seat after seeing his opponent's hands and later told them he folded ace-queen. The flop of 4K9 and K turn didn't change anything, but the 7 river gave Suvarna his three-outer to stay alive.

"Unlucky, you should have tripled!" Shawn Daniels commented.

Jager Haunted By Another Seven

Level 16 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Paul Jager
Paul Jager

Paul Jager jammed for 250,000 from under the gun and folded out the rest of the table.

The following hand, Shawn Daniels opened to 100,000 from the button and called when Jager pushed in his stack from the big blind.

Paul Jager: K10All in
Shawn Daniels: K7

The J56 flop and Q turn kept Jager ahead, but like in his hand against Santhosh Suvarna, the 7 came in on the river.

The table offered their condolences to Jager, who's 19th place exit set up the three table redraw.

Alex Foxen
Alex Foxen

On the last hand before the three-table redraw, Kevin Rabichow opened to 80,000 from under the gun and Stoyan Madanzhiev three-bet to 240,000. Alex Foxen was in the big blind and four-bet to 575,000.

Rabichow folded before Madanzhiev verbally announced a five-bet to 1,175,000. Foxen used a time bank before moving all in for 2,675,000 with Madanzhiev calling.

Alex Foxen: A5 All in
Stoyan Madanzhiev: AK

There was a murmur as Foxen showed his hole cards, and he failed to overcome the ace-king of Madanzhiev on the 1086JK runout, and was eliminated in 18th place.

Michael Jozoff opened from the hijack to 80,000 and was only called by Brek Schutten on the button.

The flop came K94 and Jozoff put out a continuation-bet of 75,000. Schutten raised to 225,000 and Jozoff called.

After Jozoff checked the J turn, Schutten fired 450,000 into the middle. Jozoff made the call.

When the 5 came on the river Jozoff checked for a third and final time. Schutten then announced all in for Jozoff's remaining 740,000. Jozoff thought briefly before making the call.
