Hara Bests Sitbon to Chip Up

Ryo Hara raised to 5,500 from the button and Julien Sitbon defended his big blind.

The flop came Q♥A♣9♥ and Sitbon was quick to check. Hara fired for 4,500 and was called by Sitbon.

While the turn peeled the 7♣, Sitbon again checked to Hara. He continued for 17,000 and was called.

The river was the 10♠ and Sitbon checked his action. Hara jammed all in for 64,000 and put Sitbon into the tank. Eventually, Sitbon made the fold for Hara to take the pot.

Alexandre Reard opened the button to 5,500 and got a call from the small blind before Cherish Andrews shoved for 33,500 out of the big blind. Reard then shoved, and the small blind folded.

Andrews added a lot of outs on the J♥3♠Q♠ flop and even more on the 2♥ turn. However, the 3♥ river was a brick which meant Andrews was sent to the rail early on Day 2.

Reard, who bought in at the start of Day 2, has already tripled his stack.
