Ripper Finds a Triple Up

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

David Coleman opened to 50,000 from the hijack before Wagner Ripper three-bet all in for 255,000. When it folded to the big blind Kharlin Sued, he elected to make the call. The original raiser Coleman then four-bet all in for 1,150,000, which sent Sued in the tank. After several minutes, Sued did find a fold, leaving the two players heads up, with Ripper at risk.

Wagner Ripper: 99 All in
David Coleman: AK

Ripper was ahead with pocket nines and when the board ran out 87338, Ripper's nine were still best and he managed to triple up.

McEwan Slows Down Turbo

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

There was big action on a board reading Q83Q and a pot of 760,000 in the middle. From the cutoff, Turbo Nguyen bet 450,000. Matthew McEwan was in the hijack and took a few moments before he moved all in for 1,055,000.

Nguyen went diving into the tank as he counted out his chips and told the table he was doing some math in his head. He separated the chips into different piles, while doing the accounting. After a couple of minutes he eventually laid it down.

He claimed to have had the A3 even though there was already a 3 on the board and that the price was not quite good enough to make the call for him.

David Coleman
David Coleman

On a flop of K109, David Coleman had checked to Wagner Ripper, who bet 65,000 into the 200,000-chip pot. Pedro Madeira called, then Coleman shoved all in for 490,000. Ripper folded, but Madeira called.

David Coleman: Q5 All in
Pedro Madeira: K9

Coleman had flopped a flush draw and a gutshot but Madeira was in the lead with his two pair.

The A turned changed nothing, and neither did the 8 river which meant Coleman was eliminated.
