Rocco ended up with 4♠K♠3♣8♣ for a pair of threes, while Bruschi made A♣5♠A♥K♣ for aces and queens. Monnette had A♦K♦6♣ showing by seventh and needed to make a low to survive, but he instead caught the 10♣ as Bruschi scooped the entire pot to send both opponents to the rail.

Action checked through the 3♦Q♦2♣ flop to the K♠ turn at which point Obst checked again. Pisarenko put in a delayed continuation of 57,000. Becker got out of the way while Obst made the call to see a river.

Neither player chose to put more money in the pot on the J♥ river with Obst winning at showdown holding K♣8♣8♦2♠ to continue his ascent in the chip counts.
