Merk-ed Out

Level 10 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Abby Merk
Abby Merk

Abby Merk, down to her last 7,700, decided to go all in with 105, hoping to turn her luck around. Elizabeth Huey, sitting across the table with 33, quickly called the all-in.

The tension built as the dealer revealed the board: Q8J6J.

Despite her hopes, the cards didn’t fall in Merk’s favor. With no help from the board, her tournament run came to an end as she was sent to the rail.

Enright Takes a Pot From Mahzoun

Level 10 : Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Helia Mahzoun raised to 3,000 preflop from middle position. The player on the button called, as did three-time WSOP bracelet winner Barbara Enright in the big blind.

The flop came 9610 and the action checked around.

The turn 7 was also checked by all players.

The river was the fourth club, the 5.

Enright now bet 3,000, and Mahzoud raised to 8,000. Enright fairly quickly called.

Mahzoud showed AA, which she confirmed she turned into a bluff, and Enright showed JX for the flopped flush that she slowplayed until the river.

Stephani Hagberg was in the big blind and facing a bet from Katie Lindsay, who was under the gun and bet 10,000 into a pot of around 18,000 chips. It was a bet on the turn, where the board read 76J9.

Hagberg thought only had 15,000 chips behind and thought for a while before going all in. Lindsay snap called.

Stephani Hagberg: QJAll in
Katie Lindsay: AK

Hagberg was ahead with the pair of jacks, but Lindsay had a number of outs, including any heart. The 10 rolled off on the river and Hagberg was eliminated, while Lindsay chipped up to a nice stack of over 100 big blinds.

Samantha Merz was all in for around 18,200 in the big blind and against an opponent in the hijack.

The cutoff was holding on the 9KJ flop, although Merz had picked up straight draw.

Hudson Hits the Nines

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Kami Hudson
Kami Hudson

The under-the-gun player limped to 1,200 and Kami Hudson raised from an early position to 6,200. Both the hijack and under-the-gun player called, taking the players three-ways to the flop.

The board came 9KA and the under-the-gun player checked. Hudson raised to 10,000 and the hijack jammed. The under-the-gun
player folded and Hudson made the call.

Hijack: AKAll in
Kami Hudson: 99

Despite the hijack hitting two pair on the flop, Hudson was ahead, having flopped a set.

The hijack stood from the table when the 9 turn was placed, knowing they were drawing dead to Hudson's quads.

The 7 river completed the board, and Hudson sat back with a sizeable stack.

Omuro Takes From Cassell

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

An early position player raised to 2,500 and got a call from Yurina Omuro in middle position. Jennifer Cassell, sitting in the cutoff, made a three-bet to 8,500, which both players called.

On the JKK flop, everyone checked to Cassell, who bet 5,500. Only Omuro called.

Both players checked the 10 turn.

On the 10 river, Cassell led with a bet of 10,000 and got a quick call from Omuro. Cassell revealed AJ for two pair, jacks and tens, but Omuro showed AQ for a straight, adding a good amount to her stack.
