Team Collins Has Fun Entrance

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

If you’re going to be late joining the field, might as well have fun with it.

That’s exactly what Richard Collins and Vincent Elia decided to do when they walked down the aisle to their table in Level 5, and they wore unique hats.

Collins sported a full yellow fish atop his head, while Elia wore a full donkey hat. And both players did it with a smile, all to the delight of some players who spotted them.

“People love it,” Collins said with a chuckle. “We were getting high-fives.”

Collins said Elia came up with the idea to wear the hats, and Collins, the team captain, didn’t hesitate to agree.

“We wanted to have fun with the tag team event,” Collins said. “I love it.”

Team Lotfy Defends the Blind

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

A player under the gun raised and action folded around to the players in the blinds.

The small blind folded, but Michael Chafetz of Team Lotfy elected to defend and make the call.

The dealer fanned 6210 on the board and both players checked. The 9 arrived on the turn and Chafetz led out with a 600 bet, resulting in the original raiser folding.

The pot was pushed to Chafetz as his tag team partner Lily Lotfy, who is fresh off a 39th place finish in Event #71: $1,000 Ladies No-Limit Hold'em Championship, watched from the rail.
