Three of the Final Eighteen Players in Event #67: Salute to Warriors Reunited

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Paul Serrate
Paul Serrate

Paul Serrate of Team Serrate, Rafael Takeda of Team Kouri, and Maxwell Schrack of Team Schrack all had the good fortune of making the final two tables of Event #67: Salute to Warriors, finishing 4th, 11th, and 16th, respectively. What are the chances they would be reunited less than a week later? Evidently quite good as all three were fielding a team in today's event, and they all happened to be at the same table to start the day. These three warriors will be looking to repeat their deep runs from last week.

Team Elizalde Takes it Down

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

It didn’t take long for Claudio Elizalde of Team Elizalde to make his presence felt at his table.

Elizalde just sat down on the button and was eating a breakfast sandwich as the cards were being dealt.

Action folded to Elizalde, who put away his meal to peek at his cards. He then raised to 700 against the two blinds. The player in the small blind folded, but the player in the big defended.

The dealer fanned 788 on the board and Elizalde’s opponent checked. Elizalde continued his aggression with a 1,000 bet, which forced out the player in the big blind.
