Heads-up on a flop of K♣2♣5♦, Paul Serrate bet 3,000 from the button and Brandon Taff called in the cutoff.
The turn was the 6♣ and Serrate bet 5,000. Taff again called to see the J♦ river.
Serrate then moved all in for 31,000 and Taff flashed ace-king as he instantly mucked. Serrate let him choose one of his cards to reveal, and Taff picked the A♣.
Juha Helppi raised to 1,300 from late position and another player called in the hijack. In the cutoff, Marc Wolpert three-bet to 4,500 which Helppi four-bet to 15,000, folding out the hijack. Wolpert moved all in for 26,000 effective and Helppi called.
Juha Helppi: A♣K♣
Marc Wolpert: Q♦Q♣
The board ran out A♠Q♠4♥3♦9♣ and the queens flopped a set to keep Wolpert in the lead, leaving the WSOP bracelet winner to exit the tournament.
With three players seeing a board of 7♦5♦3♥ and a bit under 15,000 in the middle, Max Broens checked from under the gun, Chanracy Khun checked from middle position, and Koveh Waysei moved all in for 16,000 from the button. Broens got out of the way while Khun made the call with a covering stack to put Waysei at risk.
Koveh Waysei: Q♦J♦
Chanracy Khun: A♥A♦
Khun was in great shape with an overpair to score the knockout and remained ahead on the 6♠ turn. The 3♦ river saw the flush come in for Waysei, who scored a full double up at Khun's expense.
Four players saw a flop of 5♠6♦2♣ as action checked through to the J♥ turn. Snjezana Milisa then led out for 3,000 from the small blind.
Shahar Levi called in the big blind, as did Rittie Chuaprasert in the cutoff. Ran Koller folded his button and they went three-handed to the 6♠ river. Milisa then bet another 6,000.
Levi folded, but Chuaprasert quickly called. Milisa showed J♦10♦ for top pair, but Chuaprasert had K♦K♥ to win the pot.
Heads-up on a board of 8♣Q♣2♠8♥, George Dolofan bet 7,000 from under the gun and an opponent on the button called.
The river was the 7♣ and Dolofan bet another 16,000. His opponent quickly called, then mucked when Dolofan showed J♣9♣ for a rivered flush as he built his stack up to 250,000.
As the players at the table recounted, Dan Shak opened from the cutoff and received calls from Erick Lindgren in the cutoff and Luke Martinelli in the big blind.
The flop came 9♦4♦4x. Martinelli checked, Shak checked, Lindgren bet 1,000, Martinelli raised to 2,800, Shak folded and Lindgren called.
The 2x turn did not complete the possible flush draw. Martinelli bet 3,000 and Lindgren called, leaving about 12,000 behind.
The double board-pairing 2x river also did not complete the possible flush draw. Martinelli shoved, covering Lindgren who called to put himself at risk.
Lindgren had A♣Q♥ for an ace kicker to the two pair on the board. Martinelli had flopped a flush draw with 5♦2♦ and made running trips to send Lindgren to the rail and take down a sizable pot.
Greg Raymer found himself at risk from under the gun for 33,300 against Gabriel Penescu in middle position with the biggest stack of all and Adam Curchak on the button, who moved all-in for his last 8,600.
Adam Curchak: 9♣9♠
Greg Raymer: J♣J♠
Gabriel Penescu: A♠A♦
Penescu was on his way to score a double elimination after the flop of 8♥8♦3♥, but Curchak was lucky enough to hit the 9♦ on the turn to get a full house. The 8♠ on the river gave a boat to all three players, but it wasn't enough to save Raymer who was eliminated.
The 2004 WSOP Main Event champion kindly put his signature on his fossil and offered it to Penescu before taking a last picture with him and leaving the tournament area.
Harrison Gimbel had a raise of 15,000 in front of him from middle positon before Chen Guangcheng moved all in for 46,800 in the cutoff. Gimbel tanked for several minutes until Guangcheng called the clock. The countdown was nearing zero before Gimbel finally decided to call and put Guangcheng at risk.
Chen Guangcheng: K♠K♥
Harrison Gimbel: A♣K♦
Guangcheng was ahead with his kings as Gimbel missed the 7♥6♥5♦2♠J♣ board, securing the late-night double up for Guangcheng.
Action was picked up on a 8♥9♠5♠ flop with 6,000 in the middle.
Toby Price fired out 2,500 from the button before Kinesh Pather raised to 6,500 from the big blind. Price moved all in for 22,900 and Pather made the call.
Toby Price: Q♠6♠
Kinesh Pather: 8♣5♣
The turn K♠ immediately catapulted Price into the lead before a safe 10♠ river rolled off, securing the double for Price and extending his tournament run.
