While Foxen was doubling up, another all-in and call situation occurred at a feature table with Daniel Jones in early position who saw his 2,280,000 chip stack called by David Collins in the big blind.
Daniel Jones: Q♦Q♣
David Collins: K♠K♦
Only a queen could save Jones after the 10♠2♠A♠ flop. But there was no queen on the 3♣ turn and the 10♦ river so Jones was eliminated.
In a blind versus blind battle, Eduard Burd got his last 2,100,000 in the middle against Malo Latinois.
Eduard Burd: A♠7♣
Malo Latinois: A♦Q♠
Latinois had Burd dominated as the board ran out 5♦2♥5♠8♦J♥, keeping Latinois in the lead with his queen-kicker and sending Burd to the rail.
The next hand, Britton Barclay shoved for 1,250,000 in the cutoff and Latinois called on the button.
Britton Barclay: A♣Q♠
Malo Latinois: A♦K♥
"We need a queen," Barclay called out to his rail as the flop came 3♣5♥2♣.
"I'll take a four," he added, pleading for a chop. The 6♦ turn was no help, while the river was the 5♦ and Latinois's king-kicker was enough to earn him his second knockout in as many hands.
Merijn van Rooij moved all in for his last 1,000,000 in the small blind and Manuel Machado put him at risk from the cutoff.
Merijn van Rooij: 5♣5♥
Manuel Machado: 10♠10♣
Van Rooij was dominated by Machado's pair of tens as the flop came 2♠J♠8♦. The 10♥ turn gave Machado a set and left Van Rooij drawing dead heading to the river, which came the 5♠ to only taunt him with his own set on his way to the rail.
After losing the big pot earlier on, Gabriel Moura recovered some of the losses after he came out on top of a preflop all-in contest with Toby Gibson. The latter was at risk for around 27 big blinds in the following showdown.
Toby Gibson: A♠J♦
Gabriel Moura: J♠J♣
Gibson was asking for an ace but it never came on the Q♠6♠2♥8♥K♠ runout.
Danielle Andersen opened to 200,000 from the cutoff and was three-bet to 450,000 by Jason Sagle on the button. Action folded back to Andersen, who called.
Andersen checked to Sagle, who announced he was all in on the J♥7♣10♣ flop. Anderson called all in for approximately 1,400,000 and a showdown was held.
Danielle Andersen: Q♣8♣
Jason Sagle: A♥10♦
Sagle had a made hand with his tens, but would need to fade a lot outs against Andersen's combo draw.
It wasn't meant to be, however, as the 3♥ turn and J♠ river bricked out to send the pot Sagle's way and eliminate Andersen.
Mauro Juarez three-bet to 500,000 in the cutoff and Joe Tehan four-bet to 1,100,000 in early position. Juarez then moved all in and Tehan snap-called for 2,700,000.
Joe Tehan: Q♦Q♠
Mauro Juarez: A♦K♣
Tehan remained in the lead with his queens as the board ran out 2♦9♦4♠10♦, leaving him one card away from a double up.
The river, though, was the A♣. "F**k," Tehan yelled out as Juarez spiked a pair of aces to win the pot and send Tehan to the rail.
Orson Young opened to 220,000 from early position and was called by Toby Gibson in middle position and Peter Bloch in the big blind.
Action checked through on the 7♠7♣A♠ flop and Bloch led out for 450,000 on the 5♠ turn. Both Young and Gibson called.
The 9♦ completed the board and Bloch checked to Young, who bet 1,700,000. Gibson called, but then Bloch check-raised all in for 5,260,000. Young called and Gibson tanked for some time before folding what he claimed was K♠10♠ for the nut flush.
Bloch turned over J♥7♥ for trip sevens and Young tabled A♣A♦ for aces full of sevens to take down the monster pot and eliminate Bloch from contention.
Rene Nezhoda moved all-in for 1,465,000 from under the gun and Arthur Morris then called with a few chips behind. Gary Dishongh in the big blind declared that he was all-in and the dealer announced a three-way all-in as the media and camera crews rushed towards the table to see what was happening.
Morris asked for the stack size of Dishongh, who happened to have called all-in for 1,135,000, and the showdown then proceeded.
Gary Dishongh: A♦A♣
Rene Nezhoda: A♥K♥
Arthur Morris: 8♥8♣
The board ran out Q♥10♠4♠Q♠Q♣ and the jovial Nezhoda was eliminated in the side pot whereas Dishongh tripled up. Morris took a hit to his stack and dropped to ten big blinds.
