Qinghai Pan started the day with around 80,000 chips, but has managed to climb up to one of the healthier stacks with 600,000.
In a hand he played against Stuart McHenry in the small blind, Pan threw a continuation bet on the flop of 8♦9♣9♥. McHenry called.
The turn was the 10♦. McHenry checked, Pan bet again and got called.
The river was the K♠ and the betting sequence was repeated once again. McHenry checked and then called Pan’s bet. Pan turned over A♦9♠ for flopped trips, and McHenry’s Jx10x hit the muck.
Two hands later, Pan opened from middle position and got three-bet by Christopher Bartley in the hijack. Pan called.
The flop was Q♠J♥5♣. Pan checked and called Bartley’s bet.
The turn A♦ was checked around.
On the river 8♥, Pan put in a bet and got a fold from Bartley.
George Chen raised from middle position and Eddie Kifarkis defended in the big blind.
The flop came J♠Q♣K♦ and Kifarkis check-called. The 7♦ turn and 3♠ river both went check-check.
When Chen turned over 8♦8♣, the table let out a good chuckle, as Chen had won the previous pot with the same exact hand, including the suits. Kifarkis folded and Chen dragged in the small pot.
Ayman Qutami limped in the small blind and Ryan Hansen checked from the big blind. 9♦10♦Q♣ was the flop and both players checked.
On the turn 2♣ Hansen took the lead and placed a bet and Qutami called.
5♠ appeared on the river and both players laughed as they checked and Hansen flipped over 6♥6♠ for the win as Qutami mucked.
After starting the day with a healthy stack, Renan Bruschi found himself on the short stack before his final hand.
Bruschi was in the small blind and heads-up on the flop with Juha Helppi. All the money went in on A♥J♣Q♠.
Renan Bruschi: Q♦7♠
Juha Helppi: A♣8♦
The turn was the 2♣ and the river the 9♥, also unhelpful to Bruschi.
Nick Guagenti raised in the cutoff to 12,000 and was called by Christopher Bartley in the big blind.
The flop was K♠7♥4♦ Bartley checked, Guagenti bet, Bartley raised and Guagenti made the call.
The turn was the 7♠. Bartley bet 24,000 and Guagenti called.
The river was the Q♥. Bartley checked, Guagenti bet 24,000 and Bartley made the call. This hand was a chopped pot as Guagenti tabled K♦5♦ and Bartley showed K♥8♣.
All the money went in preflop in a hand between Danilo Ragasa and Kenny Hsiung.
Danilo Ragasa: J♦J♥
Kenny Hsiung: 9♠9♣
It was a clean runout of 6♥6♦K♥8♥5♥ for Ragasa, and he secured the double up.
