Hosein Scores a Knockout

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

A player from under the gun opened to 2,200, a player from the cutoff shoved for around 7,000 and Amin Hosein raised to 27,000. The original raiser got out of the way leaving the cutoff heads up and at risk versus Hosein.

Cutoff: Q975 All in
Amin Hosein: QQ85

The board ran out 8104KK. Hosein was good at showdown with two pair, kings and queens to eliminate his opponent and take the pot.

Martin Zamani
Martin Zamani

Action was picked up between two players at showdown on a board reading K5J3K and about 220,000 in the pot. Martin Zamani was all in for his tournament life and was up against an opponent showing QJ93 for two pair and missed flush and straight draws.

Zamani tabled aces up with AA82 and dragged in a colossal early pot.

Paur Scoops to Triple

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

On a flop of 86A, all the chips between Quan Zhou, Taylor Paur, and another player found its way into the middle, with Zhou covering by a mile.

Player 1: AQ104All in
Taylor Paur: 9875All in
Quan Zhou: 8822

Zhou was in the lead with his flopped set of eights, but he still had to fade the wrap of Paur to stay that way.

Of course, the 5 came on the turn to give Paur the straight, but Zhou also picked up a spade draw to make it an even match.

Alas, the 2 on the river failed to pair the board or deliver a spade and Paur was pushed the pot with his straight while the other player hit the rail.
