Event #19: $500 COLOSSUS
Day 1b Completed
Taking a glance at the top stacks after Day 1b of Event #19: $500 The COLOSSUS No-Limit Hold'em, you'd be forgiven this was a 1,000-player tournament. However, after 3,309 players entered on the second of four starting flights, you'll find the likes of Jeff Madsen, Jared Jaffee and Theo Jorgensen comfortably inside the top ten.
Looking further down you'll find the likes of Nicholas Rigby, Barry Shulman and Kathy Liebert all making it through to Day 2.
Leading the way is Frenchman Theo Rebour who bagged 1,504,000, slightly ahead of David Levy (1,495,000) and Ryan Woodward (1,465,000). Rebour already has one cash this year in Event #1: $1,000 Mystery Millions, while Levy is yet to register a cash at the WSOP since a 241st-place finish in the 2024 WSOP Main Event for $50,000.

Phil Hellmuth might one day no longer be the only family member to have won World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets. That day could even come this year.
Philip Hellmuth III, the "Poker Brat's" son is grinding away at the 2025 WSOP, and he's looking to carve his own legacy in poker. PokerNews caught up with the younger Hellmuth on Sunday to find out if he desires to follow in his father's footsteps, and if he shares in the Poker Hall of Famer's unrivaled passion for winning bracelets.
The focus of players heading to the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) is on tournament poker, and rightly so because that is what the WSOP is all about.
One hundred live bracelet-awarding events plus 30 online events adorn the bustling 2025 WSOP schedule. It is fair to say that tournaments dominate Las Vegas when the WSOP is in town.
But what about cash games? Everyone knows Las Vegas is the place to be if you are a cash game grinder. Is it worth playing cash games during the WSOP? The answer is a resounding yes.
