Joel Vazquez Eliminated in 9th Place ($25,610)

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Joel Vazquez
Joel Vazquez

Punnat Punsri raised his action to 200,000 from under the gun, before being called by Michael Lavin, who was next to act. Action folded all the way around to Joel Vazquez in the big blind. He decided to go all in for just under 25 big blinds. Punsri ended up folding, but Lavin made the call after a short tank.

Joel Vazquez: AK All in
Michael Lavin: AQ

Punsri had folded KQ meaning Lavin was drawing to even fewer outs, but he did manage to find one on the 9Q7 flop. Vazquez improved to a straight draw on the J turn, however the A river sealed his fate as the first to leave the final table.

Has This Unsung Poker Star Been the Top WSOP Performer Since 2015?

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Poker Pro
Poker Pro

Only one player has won seven World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets in the past 10 years of live WSOP events, excluding the COVID year (2020). No, it isn't Shaun Deeb, nor is it Jeremy Ausmus or Phil Hellmuth.

This poker pro doesn't get the mainstream attention he probably deserves. While Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, and Phil Ivey get most of the headlines, this individual often flies under the radar. But he's been so dominant at the WSOP for years that the poker world — not just the hardcore crowd — should be made aware of his historic accomplishments.

Fred Goldberg Eliminated in 10th Place ($20,340)

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Fred Goldberg
Fred Goldberg

After having opened to 200,000 from middle position, Fred Goldberg called next to act Punnat Punsri's three-bet to 540,000, and the two went off to a flop of 647.

Goldberg checked his action over to Punsri, who placed a continuation-bet of 665,000 into the middle. This bet sent Goldberg deep into the tank, and after around two minutes of tanking, he announced that he was willing to play for it all. Punsri instantly called and smoothly turned his cards face up.

Fred Goldberg: QQ All in
Punnat Punsri: KK

Goldberg begrudgingly accepted his fate as the 9 turn and 3 river had him just miss out on the streamed final table, which will be shown on PokerGO at 5:00 p.m. local time

Duff Charette Eliminated in 11th Place ($20,340)

Level 29 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Duff Charette
Duff Charette

Duff Charette shoved his remaining 12 big blinds into the middle on the button, and saw a reshove from Michael Rossitto in the small blind. Big blind Drew Oconnell got out of the way, meaning showdown was announced and cards were flipped onto their backs.

Duff Charette: QQ All in
Michael Rossitto: 1010

Charette's queens didn't stay in the lead for long, as Rossitto flopped quad tens on a 10K10 board. The only thing that could have saved Charette was the most improbable runout so far, but running queens did not show up as the 2 turn and J river spelled the end of his shootout run.

The final ten players are now being redrawn for a ten-handed unofficial final table.
