2025 World Series of Poker
James Mcdermott is hanging on with only three players in Table #306.
Michael Comisso opened to 1,700 and got raised by Mcdermott to 4,000. Comisso called taking them to the flop.
Both players checked all the way to the turn on a board of 9♦K♥A♥2♠. On the river 3♣, Mcdermott fired another 4,000 which Comisso called.
Mcdermott tabled A♦K♣ making Comisso fold his hand as he said, "That's what I figured." Mcdermott scooped the pot and waited the for next hand, hopefully, to chip up.

Action was picked up on the turn on a board of 8♥3♦Q♦K♦ with about 6,000 chips in the middle and two players heads-up.
Erle Mankin check-called Jeremy Pekarek's bet of 4,400. Both players knuckled the river A♣. Pekarek mucked after seeing Mankin's K♣8♠ for a turned two pair on the board.

On a board reading J♣5♠9♠K♠4♥ Luis Carmona bet out for 10,000 into a pot of 30,000 as first to act, but was put into a gross spot when his opponent Killian Desnos instantly shoved his 63,000 stack into the middle. Carmona didn't have to think for too long before making the hero call with K♥Q♦ holding only top pair with no spade. That being said, his read was correct, as Desnos tabled A♦2♠ for the failed bluff attempt, and promptly left the table.
This elimination leaves Carmona and Andrew Brown in a heads-up battle to see who will progress to day 2, with Carmona holding a commanding chip lead, holding double Brown's chips in his stack

Zachary Grech opened for 1,200 under the gun and got a three-bet from Sasha Guerin for 3,500 from the big blind. Grech called taking both of them to see the flop.
The dealer flopped 2♦9♦7♣ and Guerin led out with a 2,600 bet which Grech called again. On the turn K♠, Guerin bet another 5,000 which was enough to make Grech fold.

The hand was already underway with the blinds engaged and with around 4,000 in the pot. The dealer flopped 2♠7♥7♦. Dylan Destefano, check-called Khaled Nassar's bet of 4,000.
After another check on the 10♣ turn, Nassar fired another 4,000 in the pot and Destefano called once again. Keeping the heat up on the river 8♣, Nassar fired 5,000 after the third check but this time Destefano shoved all-in for 27,900. Nassar snap-called.
Destefano showed 8♥8♦ for a rivered full house making Nassar frustrated enough to hit the table and muck his hand.
