Ector's Aces Lose Out to Quads.... Almost

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Benjamin Ector

Benjamin Ector's cutoff shove was called by Will "The Thrill" Failla on the button, who waited for the blinds to get out of the way before announcing "I have quads," and tabling his cards.

Will Failla: 99 All in
Benjamin Ector: AA

Failla's prophecy seemed on track to come true, as the 958 flop gave him a commanding lead. The 5 boated Failla up, as Ector commented that his opponent was "still on for quads," seemingly accepting his fate.

The river did not bring in the case nine, but Failla was unbothered as the 4 sealed his double.

Juanda Flops Set for Double Up

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Juan Juanda

Three players were in a hand when action was picked up with Aaron Johnson, in late position, raising to 3,400 on a board of QJ54 and with a pot of around 6,000. John Juanda, in early position, replied with an all-in shove for 16,700 sending Brandon Sunshine to the tank. He ultimately folded the action back to Johnson, who made the call.

John Juanda: 55 All in
Aaron Johnson: QJ

Juanda had caught a set on the flop against Johnson's top two pair. Still with minimal outs Johnson watch the dealer complete the board with 4A which didn't help him at all. Juanda scooped the pot as he asked Sunshine what he had. Sunshine replied with king-queen.
