Krusch Gets Crushed

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Dennis Krusch open jammed from the button for under 300000. Drew O'Connell snap called, and the hands were exposed.

Dennis Krusch: K5 All in
Drew O'Connell: AJ

The 108796 runout gave both players a straight, but O'Connell's jack-high straight was the better hand and enough to send Krusch to the rail.

Ohulchanskyi Doubles Through Liu

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

They are down to heads up at table 631, with Yaroslav Ohulchanskyi and Tian Liu being the two players left. In this hand, Ohulchanskyi limped and then Liu jammed from the big blind. Ohulchanskyi instantly called.

Yarsolav Ohulchanskyi: J10 All in
Tian Liu: K5

The A83 flop did nothing for Ohulchanskyi, but the 10 turn gave him the best hand and the 6 sealed the double up. He still has some work to do to overcome his chip deficit.

Split Pot for Oconnell and Verbruggen

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Drew Oconnell raised to 40,000 on the button and was three-bet by Tom Verbruggen in the small blind to 125,000. Oconnell made the call.

The flop of 9510 checked through to the 9 turn. Verbruggen led out with a bet of 45,000 and Oconnell bumped it up to 150,000. Verbruggen called and the river landed the A where action went check-check.

Verbruggen tabled A8 and Oconnell turned over A4, resulting in a chop pot.

Set on the River sends Wheeler Through

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Jason Wheeler
Jason Wheeler

The dealer had malice in his plans, as he handed out premiums to the remaining two players on his table, Jason Wheeler and Jeffrey Hong, and it was inevitable that their stacks would each end up in the middle before any community cards were dealt.

Jeffrey Hong: AQ All in
Jason Wheeler: 1010

The age-old adage "there's always a sweat" came true yet again, as the 6KA flop propelled Hong into the lead, however, it gave his adversary two streets to find a spade. The 9 came on the turn, leaving Wheeler drawing slim, and hoping for a black card. The river came red, but it was the one red card left in the deck to give Wheeler the victory, in the 10. "Yes!" he shouted, "Let's f***ing go", as he confirmed his place in the final 15.

Hong, defeated, noted that he'd "just lost a flip for Day 3", but he was ever the gentleman, as he offered a handshake to Wheeler as the two exchanged a few words.

Linyang Song also managed to get past the nine players at his table and will join Wheeler on the felt tomorrow.

Mariz Build His Stack

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Joel Vazquez raised from the small blind to 70,000 and got called by the big blind Pablo Mariz to see what the flop will bring.

The flop came 9Q10 and Vazquez continued with a 55,000 bet which Mariz called once again. The turn produced 5 and action went check-check.

Both players knuckled the river 5 too. Vazquez declared ace-high but Mariz refused to show unless his opponent showed first. Sure enough Vazquez had ace-high with A4 after which Mariz tabled the winning hand with J10.

The board ran out 10J5910, sending Duffy to the rail.

Westmorland is now heads up against Eric Firestone.

Oconnell Doubles with Rivered Full House

Level 21 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Play was already ongoing on a three-handed table on a board of J869 with a pot of bout 100,000 when Dennis Krusch in the big blind led out with 65,000 which Drew Oconnell, on the button, called.

The river 9 got another 200,000 from Krusch after he asked Oconnell how much he had behind. Oconnell replied by initially pushing in 350,000 chips leaving behind one 5,000-chip. But the dealer announced all-in. At first Oconnell protested but the dealer explained that it had to be all in for it to be a legal raise.

Oconnell placed in the last chip and the hands were tabled. Oconnell tabled 88 for a rivered full house which evoked a "Sch**sse!" from Tom Verbruggen in german when Krusch showed 107 for a turned straight.

Joel Vazquez raised to 40,000 on the button and Pablo Mariz three-bet jammed in the small blind for 370,000 to put himself at risk. Luke Richard called in the big blind and Vazquez got out of the way.

Pablo Mariz: AJ All in
Luke Richard: 55

Mariz pulled ahead on the 3JQ flop, pairing his jack. The 2 turn and 9 river earned him the double up.
