2025 World Series of Poker
Chance Kornuth was short-stacked and jammed for the remainder of his chips and was called by Matthew Sabia.
Chance Kornuth: Q♠K♥
Matthew Sabia: 10♣8♦
The flop was bad news for Kornuth when it fanned 10♦Q♥8♣. Although Kornuth hit a queen, Sabia flopped two pair to take the lead.
The 5♥ turn and the A♣ river kept Sabia in the lead to eliminate Kornuth.
Rainer Kempe opened to 17,000 from under the gun and was called by Brock Wilson from directly behind. It was then folded to Laszlo Bujtas, who went all in for 131,000 from the big blind. Kempe also went all in for more and Wilson got out of the way.
Laszlo Bujtas: 8♣8♦
Rainer Kempe: A♣K♠
It was a race, but the Q♣4♦3♦3♠8♥ runout left Bujtas best with a full house for the double up.
Barak Wisbrod opened to 16,000 from under the gun and was three-bet to 50,000 by Linglin Zeng on the button. It was folded back around to Wisbrod, who made it 116,000 to go. Zeng called.
The flop came 3♠8♥6♠ and Wisbrod continued for 51,000. Zeng stuck in a stack of t-500,000 denomination chips to put Wisbrod all in and Wisbrod snap-called for his remaining 243,000.
Barak Wisbrod: A♦A♠
Linglin Zeng: 10♣10♦
Zeng was in rough shape against Wisbrod's rockets, and the 7♣Q♥ runout kept Wisbrod ahead for the double up.
Dominykas Mikolaitis raised on the button, and John Hennigan called from the big blind.
Both players saw the 8♣5♠2♦ flop and Hennigan check-called a bet of 13,000 from Mikolaitis.
Both players checked the 8♠ turn, and when the dealer revealed the J♥ river, Hennigan led out for a bet of 23,000.
Mikolaitis didn't take too long to call, but when Hennigan revealed his 4♠4♦, he slid his cards back to the dealer face down.
Mustapha Kanit raised to 16,000 in the cutoff and Brian Rast jammed all in for 132,000 on the button. Johan Schultz also shoved all in for 114,000 from the big blind and Kanit reluctantly folded his cards.
Johan Schultz: A♥K♥
Brian Rast: K♠K♦
The board ran out J♥J♦3♠7♦3♥ and Schultz was unable to hit an ace in order to stay alive.
"Jacks?" Rast questioned Kanit jokingly after the hand.
Jason Koon limped in the small blind before Andrew Ostapchenko raised to 24,000 in the big blind. Koon called, and the two players saw a flop of 4♣3♦9♠.
Koon check-called a bet of 30,000 before both players checked the Q♣ turn.
When action checked to Ostapchenko for a third time on the 3♥ river, he pushed out a tower of green chips, totalling 150,000. This bet was for most of Koon's stack, and after using a time bank, he chose to fold.
Johan Schultz raised to 16,000 first to act and action folded to Michael Moncek, who shoved for 124,000 in the small blind. Schultz verified the amount and stuck in a chip to indicate a call.
Michael Moncek: A♠5♠
Johan Schultz: A♦10♦
Schultz had Moncek dominated, but the 5♦8♠J♥ flop paired Moncek's five and left Schultz drawing slim.
The 3♦ turn and K♠ river changed nothing and Moncek was awarded the double up.
Mikita Badziakouski opened to 16,000 from the hijack and was called by Kristen Foxen and David Coleman in the blinds. The flop came 4♥3♦2♦ and the action checked around to the 4♠ on the turn.
Coleman was the first to take a stab at the pot with a bet of 14,000. Badziakouski called and Foxen got out of the way. The river was the 4♦ and Coleman shut things down with a check. Badziakouski checked it back and Coleman showed his 9♠6♣. Badziakouski rivered a flush with 10♦7♦ and raked in the pot.
