2025 World Series of Poker
Pavlin Karakikov was on the button and raised to 12,000, and Francis Anderson made the call in the big blind.
The flop showed 6♣7♣2♦, and Anderson pulled the check-raise to 43,000 after Karakikov bet out 10,000. Karakikov made the call.
On the turn 7♦, Anderson check-called after Karakikov bet out 35,000.
The pot was building up, and the river K♦ brought a backdoor flush, and Anderson put in most of his stack for 125,000. Karakikov went into the think tank and folded.
On a flop of 6♥10♠J♣ with 60,000 already in the pot, Shawn Daniels led out for 10,000 from the small blind, and Justin Liberto called from the big blind.
The turn brought the A♣, and Daniels turned up the heat with a bet of 55,000. Liberto called again.
The river was the A♦, and both players checked. Liberto revealed 10♣3♣ to take down a nice pot with just one pair, while Daniels quickly mucked his cards.
The action was picked up from when Anton Smirnov shoved all in for 76,000 from the small blind, and John Hennigan made the call from late position with a bigger stack.
Anton Smirnov: A♦A♠
John Hennigan: 9♠9♣
The cards came down 2♥6♣7♦10♥4♠ for Smirnov's pocket aces to hold for the double-up.
There were roughly 85,000 chips in the pot on a board of 6♦7♦4♠ and Ryan Plant from under the gun bet 24,000 when the J♠ hit the turn. He was quickly raised by Sam Soverel on the button to 75,000. Plant called.
Both players checked when the 9♠ fell on the river and Plant showed his hand by mistake as he tabled 8♣8♠ but could not beat Soverel's K♦K♣.
Ran Koller raised in middle position to 12,000, immediately to his left, Brock Wilson three-bet for almost all of his chips to 37,000 and Brandon Hamlet four-bet to 70,000 from the big blind. Koller made the fold and Wilson called for his last 2,000.
Brock Wilson: A♦J♥
Brandon Hamlet: K♥K♣
Hamlet dodged the ace with the board running out Q♦8♥9♦8♣7♥.
Wilson stated, "Nice hand" and exited the tournament area as Hamlet scooped the pot.
There were approximately 60,000 in the pot on a flop of J♦5♦7♥ when both Edward Pak in the big blind and Joey Weissman in early position checked to see the turn bring the 2♠.
Both players checked again and the river brought the K♣.
Pak checked and Weissman bet out for 55,000. Pak tanked for a while and then flipped in the call.
Weissman tabled A♥K♥ for a rivered top pair and Pak mucked instantly, looking disgusted.
There were roughly 75,000 chips in the pot on a flop of 7♣7♦5♠. Norberto Korn checked from early position to Jim Collopy who was on the button and he fired a bet for 25,000 when the 3♣ hit the turn, Korn called.
Action slowed down when the A♥ hit the river and action went check-check. Korn quickly tabled A♣K♠. Collopy was visibly frustrated as he shook his head, threw his arms in the air and then mucked.
