Wong Doubles Through Owen

Level 15 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 12,000 ante

Adam Owen raised to 22,000 from the hijack and Danny Wong shoved for 123,000 on the button. Action folded back to Owen, who called to put Wong at risk.

Owen stood pat and Wong stood pat after tanking for a bit.

Owen revealed a ten-nine and Wong fist-pumped and showed 10x8x6x5x2x for a ten-eight to score the double up.

Yu Stands Pat to Bust Ausmus

Level 15 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 12,000 ante

Jeremy Ausmus moved all in for 122,000 under the gun and both Philip Sternheimer on the button and big blind Ben Yu called.

Yu stood pat, while Ausmus and Sternheimer both drew one. Yu turned over 9x8x7x3x2x and Ausmus' and Sternheimer's cards quickly hit the muck as Ausmus was sent to the rail.

Maxx Coleman was also recently eliminated.

Alexander Heads to Dinner With a Wheel

Level 15 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 12,000 ante
George Alexander

Taylor Wilson raised to 20,000 in the cutoff and George Alexander three-bet to 75,000 on the button. Wilson then moved all in for 100,000 and Alexander called.

Wilson stood pat while Alexander drew one. "Yes! You're drawing dead, buddy," Wilson said as he shot out of his seat and turned over Jx10x9x6x3x.

"Oh no. How can you call that?" Alexander replied, showing 5x4x3x2x.

"Let's do it together," Wilson told him as he grabbed Alexander's last card. "It's a three-carder. I'm drawing dead. Oh, it could be a six," Wilson added.

"It's not an eight so I'm 50-50," he said, looking at the card from another angle. "You have a wheel," he concluded, tossing a 7x into the middle of the table and making his exit right before the dinner break.

PokerNews Daily Deepstacks
PokerNews Daily Deepstacks

At the 2025 World Series of Poker, this year's schedule includes 100 bracelet events. One notable event returning this summer at Horseshoe and Paris, Las Vegas is bracelet Event #78: PokerNews Deepstack Championship (PNDC).

This also means last year's popular PokerNews Daily Deepstack Challenge is coming back, bigger and better than before!

From May 27 to June 30, players grinding the $200, $250, and $400 Daily Deepstacks tournaments at the WSOP will rack up leaderboard points. Every week, the top 10 players will be awarded a complimentary entry into the PNDC on July 1. That’s 50 seats up for grabs—10 more than last year, thanks to the additional week of action. Best of all? You can win multiple seats, meaning the more you play and perform, the better your shot at a deep WSOP run.

Here's How to Best Sweat Your 25K & ODB Fantasy Team in the PokerNews Live Updates!

Level 15 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 12,000 ante

All summer long, PokerNews will be offering updates from both the 25K Fantasy and ODB Fantasy leagues, which you can read in our dedicated hub here.

But did you know that you're also able to follow all the players from both leagues in our live updates? Every player drafted in the 25K Fantasy, as well as all the ODB Bonus players, have been tagged with special badges that allow you to visit out chip count page and filter by said badges. So, if all you want to see are players from those leagues and how they're doing, it's as simple as clicking the badges and then filtering.

What's more, each tournament has a "$25K Fantasy" tab at the top of the updates. Click that and all you'll see are hands played by players in the 25K Fantasy league.

PokerNews understands that when it comes to fantasy, some readers only care about their team, so we've made it simple to follow all your rostered players with a few simple clicks.

Check out this video to see the filtering options in action:
