Esther Taylor

Esther Taylor raised to 6,000 from middle position before Ken Aldridge three-bet to 12,000 from the big blind. Taylor called with less than pot remaining in her stack.

Phillips Doubles Through Lindgren

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Erick Lindgren opened the cutoff to 5,500 before Tyler Phillips potted to 19,000 from the small blind.

On the A109 flop, Phillips potted for 43,000, Lindgren raised, and Phillips called all in for 55,500.

Tyler Phillips: AK73 All in
Erick Lindgren: A854

Both flopped top pair, but Phillips was in the lead with the higher kicker, while Lindgren had the nut flush draw. The 7 turn gave Phillips two pair, but Lindgren picked up a low draw. However, the river was the K and Phillips scooped to double.

Newberry Runs into Greene's Boat

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
James Newberry
James Newberry

James Newberry made it 5,000 to go from middle position and picked up three callers. Ali Abduljabbar called from the button, Sam Soverel from the small blind, and Jonathan Greene out of the big blind.

When it checked to Newberry on the 93J flop, he bet 10,000. Abduljabbar and Soverel folded, but Greene check-raised to 40,000. Newberry pondered briefly before jamming for around 80,000. Greene happily called.

James Newberry: AJ73 All in
Jonathan Greene: AJ97

Newberry was behind against the top two pair of Greene. The 5 on the turn gave Newberry a low draw and a flush draw. The J river improved Newberry to a flush, but also helped Greene make a boat. Newberry was out, and Greene added to his stack.

Moore Off to a Wheely Good Start

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Shortly after taking his seat, Jack Moore potted the cutoff and was called by James Chen in the small blind. In the big blind, Matthew Wantman made it 35,000 and both opponents called to create a bloated pot.

On the J42 flop, Chen checked, Wantman jammed, Moore instantly called off his 18,500 stack, and Chen reluctantly folded.

"I have nothing," declared Wantman as the hands were tabled.

Jack Moore: A1063 All in
Matthew Wantman: AK94

Moore instantly improved to a wheel on the 5 turn and he made the seven-high straight on the 7 river to scoop and double up.

Hellmuth Hits the Nut-Nut

Level 11 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

Viktor Blom limped under the gun before Bruno Furth raised to 11,000 from the cutoff. Phil Hellmuth called on the button, but Zachary Reinbold squeezed to 44,000 from the small blind. Blom folded before Furth four-bet with the covering stack, which Hellmuth and Reinbold called.

Phil Hellmuth: A982 All in
Zachary Reinbold: AA64 All in
Bruno Furth: AQ102

If Furth could somehow find a way to win, he would bust two players. The board ran out 57436 to give Hellmuth the nut-nut, with Furth also having the nut low. Hellmuth won three-quarters of the main pot, and Furth got a quarter. Reinbold ended up staying alive as he chopped the side pot with Furth.

Obst Quarters Abronson

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Luis Velador raised to 7,500 from middle position with Louis Abronson calling from the hijack. James Obst three-bet to 33,000 from the small blind, and only Abronson called.

The dealer spread out the flop of 23K and Obst bet enough to put Abronson all in. Abronson quickly called for his last 20,000.

Louis Abronson: A752 All in
James Obst: AQ105

Both had the same low draw and were competing for the high. The rest of the board came 66, which meant Abronson got quartered as Obst had turned a flush to win the high.

Lin Schools Teach

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Ken Aldridge limped under the gun and Cliff Josephy limped the button. In the big blind, Ren Lin potted to 13,500, and both opponents called.

On the K94 flop, Lin continued for 20,000, Aldridge jammed for 37,500, Josephy folded, and Lin called.

Ken Aldridge: A987 All in
Ren Lin: AK53

Lin had top pair and the nut flush draw against the middle pair of Aldridge. The board ran out 1010, which was no help to either player as Lin held to eliminate "Teach."
