Weiss Survives with a Chop

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Dennis Weiss potted to 140,000 from under the gun with 30,000 behind. Jordan Siegel clicked it to 300,000 from the small blind, and Weiss called all-in for 170,000 total.

"It's not a good hand but it's better than the next one," Weiss admitted as the hands were tabled.

Dennis Weiss: Q1073 All in
Jordan Siegel: AJ64

The 1075 flop gave Weiss two pair and Siegel the low draw. The board ran out Q2 as Weiss improved his two pair but Siegel made a low on the river to get half.

Timoshenko Picks Up Aces to Double Off Furth

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Yevgeniy Timoshenko raised to 140,000 in early position and Bruno Furth called on the button, while big blind Christopher Vitch also came along.

The flop came 269 and action checked to Furth who bet 150,000. Vitch folded, but Timoshenko moved all in for 305,000 and Furth snap-called.

Yevgeniy Timoshenko: AAQ2 All in
Bruno Furth: 7432

Timoshenky was ahead with his aces but needed to dodge Furth's straight and flush draws as well as a low draw. The 9 turn was safe for Timoshenko, while the river was the J and Timoshenko held on to double up.

Michael Korody Eliminated in 17th Place ($28,936); James Obst Eliminated in 18th Place (28,936)

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Michael Korody

Michael Korody raised to 100,000 from under the gun and Bruno Furth called from the button. James Obst three-bet to 445,000 from the small blind, which Korody called. Furth back-jammed with the covering stack, which Obst and Korody called.

James Obst: AKQ6 All in
Michael Korody: A833 All in
Bruno Furth: A842

If Furth were to win this pot, he would move into the chip lead, and the tournament would be down to just two tables.

The board ran out 1092410, which meant no low was available, and Furth won the pot with just a pair of fours, eliminating both players. After the chips were counted, it was determined that Obst had fewer chips than Korody, so Obst was 18th and Korody 17th.

Spivack Leaves Weiss on Fumes

Level 23 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

As the players were coming back on break, Martin Kabrhel wandered over from the $100,000 event and asked Shaun Deeb to take a selfie with him. He then sat down at the table beside Deeb and took some of his chips, pretending to join the tournament.

"I can play with you, right? Nobody minds?" Kabrhel joked before the dealer finally told him to move.

"Payout, 18th place. $28,000," Kabrhel added as he left the room.

"You're still down $200,000 on the day," Deeb told him.

Meanwhile, Dennis Weiss had pushed all in from the big blind on a flop of 1048 and Edward Jackson Spivack called in the cutoff for his last 250,000.

Edward Jackson Spivack: A1083 All in
Dennis Weiss: A962

Spivack was ahead with top pair, while Weiss had a straight and low draw. The board ran out 9J and Spivack remained in the lead to earn the double up.

Edengren Bombs Away at Greene; Kessler Focused on Fantasy

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

"Ninth place is the next points bubble," Allen Kessler said, checking the status of his fantasy team.

"You also make an additional $26,000," Bruno Furth reminded him.

Meanwhile, at another table Magnus Edengren had raised to 90,000 under the gun and Jonathan Greene called in the hijack.

The flop came 3J5 and Edengren bet 150,000. Greene called to the 5 turn, where Edengren bet another 250,000. Greene again called.

The 4 fell on the river and Edengren bet 1,000,000, enough to cover Greene's remaining stack. Greene spent the next several minutes in the tank as Kessler wandered over to the table.

"You're guaranteed to make 13th place. Way above your expectations in any other tournament," Greene's tablemate Shaun Deeb told Kessler.

Greene eventually folded and Edengren took the pot.

Hui Doubles Through Soverel

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Narcis Nedelcu limped first to act and Sam Soverel limped the hijack before Loni Hui potted to 165,000 from the cutoff, and both opponents called.

On the J76 flop, the action checked to Hui who jammed for 310,000. Nedelcu folded and Soverel called.

Loni Hui: AJ92 All in
Sam Soverel: AQ104

Hui was in great shape with top pair and the better low draw. Nothing changed on the 58 runout as Soverel was left with just ace-high and a worse low.

"That's probably a fold pre, right?" Soverel asked tablemate Dennis Weiss, "If I'm trying to play good."
