Martin Kabrhel opened to 80,000 second to act before Sean Perry jammed for 310,000 from the small blind. After getting several counts of Perry's stack, Kabrhel called.
"Are you feeling lucky, Martin?" asked Perry as the cards were tabled.
Sean Perry: A♣10♦
Martin Kabrhel: K♥J♦
Kabrhel pulled ahead on the K♦2♦3♠ flop to make a pair of kings, and remained ahead following the 4♦ turn. However, the 5♥ river gave Perry the wheel for the double up.
"I'm too lucky" commented Perry. "Does it look good, Martin?"
Kabrhel didn't answer.
Thoughts and prayers to the players at this table.
Chris Hunichen went all-in for 600,000 from early position. Daniel Negreanu, sitting on the button, was the only person to give him action, and they were off to the races.
Chris Hunichen: 7♠7♣
Daniel Negreanu: A♥Q♣
The board of 10♥9♠6♠K♠5♥ was safe for Hunichen and he chipped up to 1,300,000 versus a legend of the game.
On just the second hand after the break, Alan Keating and Aram Oganyan got all of their chips in the middle preflop. Both players just sat down with a fresh stack of 600,000 chips and instantly had them all at risk.
Alan Keating: 9♠9♣
Aram Oganyan: A♠K♣
The board ran out K♥7♥3♦K♦Q♥ to give Oganyan trip kings and the victory.
"Do I even have one chip left?" Keating asked the dealer to a shake of her head. "Not even a chair," as he stood up and exited the tournament area.
Martin Kabrhel moved all in for around 275,000 from the button. Daniel Negreanu jammed from the small blind for a little more, which pushed out the big blind.
Martin Kabrhel: J♥10♠
Daniel Negreanu: A♦K♠
Kabhrel paired up to take the lead on the 10♥3♣7♠ flop and was about to leave Kid Poker on a nub of a stack after the 6♦ turn.
"Ha Ha!" shouted Negreanu after he sealed the checkmark from spiking the A♠ river for a better pair.
Kabrhel quickly departed, with Negreanu telling him he'll send him a book of all the mistakes he made.
Danny Tang opened to 60,000 in the hijack and was called by Joao Vieira in the cutoff along with Bryn Kenney in the big blind. The flop came K♠J♠5♠ and Tang continued with a bet of 50,000. Vieira called and Kenney check-raised to 230,000. Both Tang and Vieira stuck around for the 4♦ on the turn.
Kenney used a time bank before jamming all in for 430,000. Tang quickly folded but Vieira called just as fast. Kenney flipped over 6♠4♠ for a flush but Vieira held 8♠7♠ for a bigger one. The 9♥ on the river was insignificant and Kenney headed to the rail.
Manuel Fritz raised to 50,000 from middle position and Seth Davies called from the hijack. Brandon Wittmeyer went all-in from the big blind for 575,000, Fritz re-jammed for more, and Davies folded.
Brandon Wittmeyer: 10♣10♠
Manuel Fritz: J♦J♥
The runout of 10♦9♦2♦5♥4♣ allowed Wittmeyer to chip up to 1,200,000 chips.
Leon Sturm opened to 50,000 from under the gun and Danny Tang just flat-called on his left. Adrian Mateos three-bet to 225,000 from the big blind and Sturm four-bet jammed all in for around 700,000. Tang quickly folded and Mateos called it off.
Leon Sturm: K♦Q♦
Adrian Mateos: A♠Q♣
"Give me my hand back," Tang muttered, noting that he folded pocket jacks.
The board ran out 10♥8♠2♠8♦A♦ and Mateos made a pair of aces on the river to send Sturm packing.
Martin Kabrhel has been up to his usual antics since taking his seat for Day 2, and a limp from him in the cutoff sparked off a wild hand.
Joao Vieira called from the button, and Chance Kornuth also called from the small blind. Nacho Barbero checked his option in the big blind.
The blinds checked to Kabhrel on the K♠5♦3♦ flop, and he bet 30,000.
"Not like that!" Kabrhel cried out his new catchphrase as Vieira raised to 120,000. The decision was on Kornuth, and as he thought over his option, the USA national anthem began playing, and like a true patriot, Kabrhel stood up while "The Star-Spangled Banner" boomed over the tannoy. Kabrhel, while Kornuth was still thinking, implored Alex Kulev to join him in standing up.
Kornuth then shoved for 375,000 total, as the music sounded off. Barbero then announced a raise of 500,000, and the table questioned whether it was a legal size. After some confusion and debate, it was determined that Barbero had to make it 630,000. Kabrhel then folded, and Vieira followed suit for the cards to go on their backs.
Chance Kornuth: 5♠3♠
Nacho Barbero: K♦4♦
Kornuth had bottom two pair while Barbero had plenty of outs with his top pair and flush draw.
The 10♣ gave Barbero two more outs but the A♠ river completed the board for Kornuth to double up.
After some table chatter, Barbero told Kabhrel, "You f***ed everything up with your limp."
"I'm not surprised, everything bad in this country is apparently my fault," Kabrhel quipped back as the dealer began the next hand.
Daniel Negreanu raised to 50,000 from the cutoff and was re-raised by Danny Tang on the button to 125,000. Negreanu went all-in for 500,000 and was called by Tang.
Daniel Negreanu: A♦J♦
Danny Tang: A♥Q♣
The flop of J♠8♦7♣ put Negreanu in the lead, but the Q♠ flipped favors back to Tang, and the K♠ sealed the deal for Negreanu.
