Vieira Shoves on Ivey

Level 17 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Joao Vieira raised to 200,000 in the hijack and Phil Ivey called from the big blind. The flop came Q42 and Ivey check-called a bet of 130,000 from Vieira.

The 4 paired the board on the turn and Ivey led out with a bet of 300,000. Vieira called and the 3 landed on the river. Ivey checked this time and Vieira jammed all in for around 1,200,000. Ivey quickly mucked his cards in disgust and Vieira collected the pot.

Brandon Wittmeyer was down to just 385,000 chips and contemplated his move by using a time bank before shoving all in from the hijack. Andrew Lichtenberger confirmed the count in the small blind and then called.

Andrew Lichtenberger: 66

The flop came AAQ and Wittmeyer picked up a few counterfeit outs. The 3 on the turn narrowed his outs by one and the 6 on the river improved Lichtenberger to a full house.

Defending champion Chris Hunichen jammed for 860,000 from from middle position and was called by Ben Heath from the button.

Chris Hunichen: KQAll in
Ben Heath: A9

Heath paired his ace on the A103 flop to leave Hunichen drawing to Broadway. The short stack asked for at least a spade on the turn but the 7 was of no help.

The river bricked off with the 4 and Hunichen departed in 15th place after surviving the bubble as one of the smallest stacks.

Oganyan Surrenders

Level 17 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Aram Oganyan opened to 250,000 under the gun, and only Vinny Lingham, next to act, called.

Oganyan started with a check on a 5Q9 flop, and Lingham accepted the invite to take over the betting lead, placing a bet of 250,000. Oganyan sprang into action, though, check-raising to 670,000, which Lingham called.

The turn brought the 10, and Oganyan continued for 780,000. Lingham almost immediately announced he was all in, for roughly 3,000,000, and Oganyan snap-folded.
