Full House Over Full House Cooler for Hewston

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Action was picked up on the river where Jonathan Hewston was all in from the big blind and Uri Kadosh had called from the button. The board was A5JJ5.

Both players held a full house, but Hewston had the smaller version and was eliminated, and Kadosh scooped a tidy sum.

Sparks Wins a Pot

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Joseph Degeorge limped from under the gun. Action folded around to the small blind David Santarelli, who limped as well.

Steve Sparks, had other things in mind and defended his big blind by raising to 800. Degeorge called but Santarelli got out of the way.

The flop came 935 and both players checked. On the turn J, Sparks led with 1,000 which was enough to make Degeorge fold.

Wright's Stack on the Rise

Felipe Davila raised to 600 from early position before Larry Wright three-bet to 2,200 from the cutoff. The rest of the table folded, and Davila made the call.

The flop came 6610, Davila checked, Wright bet 1,800, and Davila folded. Wright has amassed over double his starting stack in the early stages of Event #40.

Taylor Doubles Through Imm

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

On a flop of 5A5 Larry Imm placed a continuation-bet of 6,100 into a pot of 5,800. Stuart Taylor wasn't happy with the spot he was in, saying "man, do you just have ace-king here?" He ended up going all in for his remaining 7,300, Imm's pot odds were simply too good to not make the call.

The 37 runout kept Taylor alive, as he picked up a much-needed double up to carry on in this event.

Leonard Flops a Pair

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Jeffrey Leonard in hijack opened to 500 and got a three-bet from Dean Schultz on the button to 1,000.

Both players saw a flop of 5410. Leonard check-called Schultz's 700 bet leading them to the next steet.

The turn 9 had Leonard leading with 2,200. Schultz hung on. Both players checked the river 7.

Leonard showed Q10 for a pair on the flop. Schultz folded his hand and conceded the pot to Leonard.

Both players checked the turn A and the river 2. Arieh turned over 55 and Vang mucked.

Jordison Takes From Wright

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Larry Wright raised to 1,200 from middle position and was called by Angela Jordison on the button and Mark Seif from the big blind.

The dealer spread a flop of Q108, and the action checked to Jordison, who bet 1,300. Seif folded, and Wright called.

The turn was the J. This time, Jordison bet 2,500, which was enough to get a fold from Wright.

Dresch Flops it

On a board of A2Q89 Scott Allacher, who was first to act on the river, bet out for 2,400 into a pot of 6,200. As the river was heads-up, he was only betting into Jeremy Dresch, who was on the button.

Dresch didn't call the bet, or release his cards, but decided to raise to the tune 7,500. Allacher wasn't happy with the spot he was in, but ended up sticking in the call, and mucking as Dresch announced "I flopped it", as he tabled AQ

Pearlman Chips Up

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

David Pock opened for 600 in middle position and got two callers in Curt Kohlberg on the button and Daniel Pearlman in the small blind.

The flop came 85K. All three checked. With action passed to him, Kohlberg fired 1,100 on the turn 2. Pearlman called but Pock got out of the way.

The two remaining players checked the river A. Pearlman showed K4 and scooped the pot for the win after Kohlberg mucked his hand.
