Daly Catapults to Chip Lead

Level 29 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Dario Dussan Guzman opened in early position to 250,000 but met resistance in the form of a three-bet by Zach Daly, raising to 725,000. Action folded back to Guzman, who four-bet to 1,700,000. Daly then took a moment before moving all in for 5,050,000. Guzman, who had a slightly bigger stack, called, making this a monstrous pot which would decide who the new chip leader of the tournament is.

Zach Daly: AA All in
Dario Dussan Guzman: KK

Daly was on the right side of a cooler involving two of the tournament chip leaders, but the drama had only just begun when the dealer fanned out the QKJ flop.

Guzman had taken the lead, having flopped top set, but the turn 10 flipped things back in the favour of Daly, who now had a straight.

The river ended the drama, coming the 8.

Guzmas slid a mountain of chips across the table to Daly as the dealer readied the deck for the next hand.

Fairchild Falls to Reynolds

Level 29 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Clark Reynolds opened to 235,000 in the cutoff and Halford Fairchild three-bet to around 500,000. Reynolds moved all in covering the rest of Fairchild's stack, and Fairchild snap called.

Clark Reynolds: AK

The 1087 flop didn't bring much in for either player, but the A turn improved Reynolds further.

Fairchild was eliminated on the 9 as he missed the straight draw.

Savchenko Applies the Pressure

Level 28 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Hesham Ayoub raised to 260,000 in the cutoff and Alexander Savchenko three-bet to 535,000 in the small blind. Ayoub called.

The flop came Q4J and Savchenko continued with a bet of 325,000. Ayoub called, bringing the 2 turn.

Savchenko bet again, this time for 530,000 and Ayoud made the call after taking some time to think through his decision.

On the 8 river, Savchenko slid out a bet of 1,175,000, prompting Ayoud to give up his hand.

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Alexander Savchenko: 98

The 944 flop looked good for Savchenko, but Romer brought it back with the J turn.

The K river secured Romer the double.

A Painful Way to Depart

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

We joined the action with both Vicente Pena and Jeffrey Rogers' cards on their back, having got all the money in preflop.

Jeffrey Rogers: QQ All in
Vicente Pena: AJ

It was Rogers at risk, but this pot was for almost all of Pena's stack, also.

The flop 88K was a good start for Rogers, and although the 8 gave Pena one more out, it was still looking good for him.

The river was a cruel blow, though, coming the A. This gave Pena almost a full double-up but, in doing so, sent Rogers to the rail.

Ayoub Dodges a Diamond

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Action picked up on the turn in a hand between Hesham Ayoub on the button and Alexander Savchenko in the big blind.

With about 800,000 in the middle and the board reading A7106, Savchenko moved all in to put Ayoub at risk who had about 800,000 behind.

Ayoub thought for a moment before making the call.

Hesham Ayoub: A6 All in
Alexander Savchenko : K6

Ayoub needed to fade a diamond, and the river Xx was a brick earning him the double up.

Date with an Eight

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Kyle Hamilton raised in early position to 260,000, and only Evgeny Urubkov called, defending his big blind.

The flop came down K48 and Urubkov checked. Hamilton then made some enquiries concerning Urubkov's stack, confirming it to be 815,000. Hamilton was happy with this amount and moved all in covering his opponent. It seemed like bad news for Hamilton when Urubkov delightedly beat him into the pot.

Evgeny Urubkov: 88 All in
Kyle Hamilton: 99

Urubkov had good reason to be confident, having flopped middle set.

There was no help to be found for Hamilton on the 6 turn or 10 river, and he slid over a pile of chips towards Urubkov.
