Foxen Gets a Scare on the Turn

Level 16 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Alex Foxen was one of the shorter stacks in the room and pushed all in for 2,095,000 in early position. The action folded to Jeremy Ausmus in the big blind who asked for the count and then called.

Alex Foxen: JJAll in
Jeremy Ausmus: AQ

The flop came QJ5 and Foxen picked up a set of jacks to take a big lead. The Q on the turn made things interesting and Seth Davies managed to get a rise out of the table.

"Not like that," Davies mumbled, impersonating Martin Kabrhel. The 3 on the river was safe for Foxen who scored a double up.

Negreanu Folds to "Walking Advertisement" for ADHD Medication

Level 16 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu commented that tablemate Martin Kabrhel was a "walking advertisement" for ADHD medication — "He's a commercial for Adderall" — before Kabrhel opened to 320,000 in the cutoff and Negreanu defended in the big blind.

Negreanu checked on the flop of 8JQ and Kabrhel continued for 165,000. Negreanu folded.

"Text Amanda and tell her you made the first mistake of the day," said Kabrhel.

Jaffe Busts After Kabrhel "Slow Roll"

Level 16 : Blinds 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Jonathan Jaffe
Jonathan Jaffe

Jonathan Jaffe opened to 230,000 on the button and Martin Kabrhel three-bet to 850,000 in the small blind. Jaffe four-bet jammed a stack of around 3,500,000 and Kabrhel went in the tank as he asked for a count and reviewed his stack. After about a minute, he called.

Jonathan Jaffe: A5 All in
Martin Kabrhel: AK

Jaffe was dominated and couldn't improve as the board ran out 778106 to mark his elimination. Meanwhile, Brynn Kenney criticized Kabrhel for what he thought was a "slow roll."

"You think it was a slow roll?" asked Kabrhel.

"Are you going to fold?" asked Kenney.

"I was counting my stack," Kabrhel replied.

Phil Ivey

Martin Kabrhel raised to 240,000 from under the gun and Phil Ivey shoved all in for around 740,000 in the big blind. Kabrhel quickly called without any speech from the master himself.

Phil Ivey: 44All in

Brewer Makes the Right Check

Thomas Boivin
Thomas Boivin

Action was picked up to the AA102 board in a pot between Thomas Boivin from under the gun and Chris Brewer on his direct left with around 1,100,000 in the middle. The action checked through.

The river was the Q and Boivin checked again. Brewer weighed his options before he announced that he had a flush and checked back. However, his flush was no where near good as Boivin tabled AA for flopped quad aces but was unable to get any action out of Brewer.
