Aram Zobian raised to 700 from the cutoff, and Maurice Hawkins smooth called from the big blind. The flop came out monotone with 382, and Hawkins checked to the raiser, who bet 400.

On the turn Q, Zobian kept up the aggression and bet 1,100 after Hawkins checked. Hawkins called the bet.

Both players checked the river K, and Hawkins tabled AQ, for a pair of queens, and Zobian showed K6 for a pair of kings and the win.

Early Double for Brodeur

Olivier Brodeur shoved his full stack in on a board reading 46910 before being quickly called by Yunkyu Song.

"I have a straight," announced Brodeur, as he tabled his cards.

Yunkyu Song stood up from his chair and chucked his chips over to Brodeur as he realised that he was dead in the water. The A river changed nothing.

Mackoff Overbets

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

There were roughly 12,000 chips in the pot on a board of 3JQA6. Luis Yepez Carmona in the cutoff checked to Jonas Mackoff on the button who decided to overbet to 16,500.

Carmona thought about his decision for around three minutes before he made the call. Mackoff tabled the second nuts with K5, and Carmona mucked his hand.

Mistakes Were Made

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

During the second level of the day, action was picked up as Francisco Benitez raised to 2,500 from the big blind position and Henao called from the button. Things got very interesting from this point.

As the dealer fanned out the flop of A310 there was an extra card 6, the floor was called to deliver a ruling. The floor ruled that the cards were to be mixed and he picked out a burn card. The flop was rearranged and the 10 was the burn card. On a new flop of A63 Benitez bet 1,200 and Henao called.

The 4 hit the turn and both players checked their option.

A Q completed the board of a very interesting hand and Benitez bet 1,600 and Henao folded. Shortly after, Henao was eliminated from the tournament.

The flop came 632 and Julien led with a 400 bet. Ostrove called.

Julien checked on the 3 turn. Ostrove bet 1,500 and Julien called.

Ostrove bet 4,000 when checked to on the A river and Julien called again. Ostrove tabled trips with Q3 to take the early pot.

On a board reading 61085A, two players arrived at the river, those players being Josselin Gardes and Alexander Yen. Yen checked his action over to Gardes, who then fired out for 20,500 into a pot of just over 25,000.

Yen then thought about his decision for a good few minutes, before making the lay-down.
