Brian Breck limped in from under the gun and Terrence Chan raised from the cutoff. Lawrence Brandt called from the big blind and Breck called. Brandt dew three, Breck drew two and Chan drew one.
Action checked around to Chan who bet after the first draw. Both opponents called and took one each while Chan stood pat.
Chan bet again when checked to after the second draw. One again both opponents called and drew one while Chan stood pat. The three players then checked with no draws remaining.
Brandt tabled a nine-badugi with 9♣7♠6♦2♥ which was enough to take down the sizable pot.
David ODB Baker raised in the hijack and Devin Looney raised which saw Brian Breck call in the small blind and Mike "Crazy Mike" Thorpe call in the big blind with Baker calling behind him.
Breck, Thorpe, and Baker all drew two while Looney stood pat and action checked around to him who bet and everyone called.
On the second draw, Breck and Thorpe drew one and Baker drew two while Looney stood pat once more. Action checked around to him again and he bet which saw Breck call and Thorpe raise. Baker folded with Looney and Breck calling.
The final draw saw Breck draw one and Thorpe stood pat along with Looney. Breck checked over to Thorpe who bet and both players called.
"I will now produce numbert two," Thorpe said as he tabled 6x4x3x2xAx for a perfect six and he raked in a sizable pot off of his opponents.
Action was picked up on the first draw which saw Jay Kerbel in the small blind, Andrey Zaichenko in the big blind, David Prociak in first position, and James Morris on the button, all draw two.
Everyone checked over to Morris who bet and everyone called.
Kerbel and Morris drew one while Zaichenko and Prociak both drew two. Kerbel bet which folded out Zaichenko while Prociak and Morris called.
The final draw saw Kerbel stand pat, Prociak draw one, and Morris stand pat. Kerbel bet and only Morris called.
"Eight, seven, six," said Kerbel as he tabled 8x7x6x3x2x and added "smooth."
It was good for the pot as Kerbel rose up the counts.
With two players heads-up just before the first draw and around 12,500 in the middle, Mike Leah drew three from under the gun and Phil Hellmuth drew two from the button.
Leah check-called a bet from Hellmuth after the first draw and drew three more while Hellmuth took one.
After the secon draw Leah check-called another bet and drew one while Hellmuth stood pat.
Both players checked with no draws remaining. Hellmuth turned over a nine with 9x7x4x3x2x and Leah mucked.
The registration period of Event #56: $2,500 Mixed Triple Draw has come and gone. A grand total 463 entrants come out to play this event.
Last year's number of 377 entrants was blown past and a prize pool of $1,030,175 that the final 70 players will be in the money. Here below are the prize pool numbers.
