Liberto, Kyte Win at the Feature Table as the Field Pauses

Level 16

2-7 Triple Draw

The feature table was a full game behind the outer two tables, and tournament officials paused the clock and the action to give the feature table time to catch up.

"What are you guys doing over there, having a pissing contest?" Mike Matusow shouted out as Justin Liberto raised under the gun. Michael Mizrachi called in the big blind.

Mizrachi drew two and Liberto one. Liberto then bet and Mizrachi called.

Mizrachi again drew two and Liberto took one. Liberto bet again, but this time Mizrachi raised. Liberto then reraised and Mizrachi instantly tossed his cards away.

The next hand, Jon Kyte raised under the gun, Marco Johnson reraised in the cutoff, and Kyte called.

Kyte drew two and Johnson one. Johnson then bet and Kyte called.

Both players drew one and Kyte led out with a bet. Johnson called and Kyte stood pat, while Johnson took one. Both players then checked.

"Just a nine," Kyte said, turning over 9x7x6x5x3x that was enough to win the pot.

"I think you needed one of these cards," Kyte said to Johnson.

"Grinder, play faster," Phil Hellmuth said to Mizrachi, coming over to observe the action.

"There's nobody playing slow. It's just the size of the table," Johnson replied.

He Was Going to Call with Queen-High Honey!

Level 16
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

No Limit Hold'em

Phil Hellmuth limped in from the small blind and Joao Vieira checked his option from the big blind.

The 977 flop checked through to the A turn, where Hellmuth bet 20,000. Vieira called.

Hellmuth checked in the dark, ahead of the 5 completing the board. Vieira sized up to 75,000 and Hellmuth went into the tank.

He eventually open-folded his Q4, telling Vieira he was very close to calling him with queen-high. Vieira kept his cards face down as he slid them into the muck after collecting the pot.

The following hand, Hellmuth limped in from the button. Vieira called from the small blind. Albert Daher then made it 70,000 from the big blind and received two quick folds.

"Okay Albert, every time I've limped today, you've raised," Helmuth said, while wagging a finger at Daher.

"It's not gonna work very well at this table, but you'll keep trying, 100% won't work. I tell people stuff, they don't listen. They go the opposite."

"I wish I listened to you all my life," Daher interjected. "I'd have been much richer."

Kenney Drags One In; Hellmuth on Fumes

Level 16

Omaha Hi-Lo

On the last hand of Omaha Hi-Lo, Bryn Kenney raised, with Christopher Vitch and Esther Taylor calling from the blinds.

Kenney bet on the 1054 flop, and Vitch was the only caller.

Vitch then check-called a bet on the J turn before check-folding to a bet on the 3 river.

The game plaque then changed to Razz.

"One way or another, it's going to happen in the Razz," said Phil Hellmuth who had less than 100,000. "Razz is my game, razz is my game," he continued but his speech fell on deaf ears, failing to capture anyone's attention.

Hellmuth then folded his first two hands of Razz to leave himself with 70,000 at the break.
