Eychenne and Wisbrod Holding Commanding Leads

James Gorham raised to 2,000 on the button and Thomas Eychenne called from the big blind. The flop came Q105 and Eychenne check-called a bet of 1,200 from Gorham.

The turn brough the K and Eychenne checked again. Gorham flicked in a bet of 5,000 and Eychenne stuck around for the J on the river. Both players tapped the table and Eychenne turned over Q4 to claim the pot and cement his lead.

Their opposing match features Thomas Boivin and and Barak Wisbrod, with the latter also holding a commanding lead in the matchup.

Kristen Foxen opened to 2,500 on the button and Mario Fata made it 12,500 from the big blind. Foxen called and the dealer fanned the flop of 1065.

Fata continued with a bet of 12,500 and Foxen raised to 37,500. Fata went into the tank for over a minute before finally dispatching his cards to the muck.

Fei Holds on with Sixes

Frank Cucchiara responded with a raise to 16,000 before Fei came along with a call.

The flop of K24 saw Cucchiara bet out for 7,000. Fei called.

Cucchiara once again led out on the K turn before Fei flicked in a call swelling the pot.

Both players checked on the Q river.

Fei showed 66 to scoop the pot.

Lonis Doubles His Short Stack

Jesse Lonis raised to 3,000 on the button and Henri Puustinen defended from the big blind. The flop came 966 and both players checked to the 5 on the turn.

Puustinen checked again and Lonis tossed in a bet of 6,000. Puustinen called and the 10 rolled off on the river. Puustinen checked for the third time and Lonis pushed all in for his last 29,000 chips. Puustinen mulled it over before calling and Lonis showed 86 which bested Puustinen's Q9.

Seiver Drags a Pot with Second Pair

Scott Seiver raised on the button to 2300 and Michael Steele made the call from big blind.

The board came out K6J and both players checked.

Steele led out of the 6 for 5,000 and Seiver called.

The 8 fell on the river and Steele thought for a beat before checking, and Seiver checked as well. Steele announced that he had an eight, but Seiver let him know that was no good and showed the [Qc[]Jc] to take down the pot.

Steele still has a slight advantage in chips to start this match.

Danchev Clicks It Back

On a board of 723, and roughly 12,000 in the middle, Dimitar Danchev bet 6,000 from the big blind. Stephen Song elected to raise to 13,000. Danchev laid to rest those plans, sliding in 40,000 and getting a fold from Song.

Honours even in this match-up, so far.

Jeremy Ausmus raised to 2,000 on the button and Artur Martirosian called from the big blind. The flop fell Q32 and both players checked to the 5 on the turn.

Martirosian led out with a bet of 4,000 and Ausmus called to see the 4 on the river. Martirosian fired out another bet of 3,000 with a four-liner on the board and Ausmus looked him up. Martirosian flipped over Q3 for two pair which proved to be enough to scoop the pot.
