Landers Out Set on the River

Level 16 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Xinwen Zhang opened to 12,000 from under the gun and got a call from Melissa Landers in middle position. Action folded around to Sumire Uenomachi who three-bet to 43,000 from the small blind.

Zhang folded and the action was on Landers. After some thought, Landers moved all in for her remaining 40,000. Uenomachi snap called.

Uenomachi showed her queens first and Landers remarked "No, no, I take it back." as she showed her pocked fives.

Melissa Landers: 55All in
Sumire Uenomachi: QQ

The 259 flop was good for Landers and a fellow opponent at the table remarked "No you don't." As Landers had flopped the set.

Things took a turn after the 6 was placed as Uenomachi had picked up some more outs, looking at a heart flush draw.

The Q river sealed Landers fate, and she was eliminated after a "Brutal..." rollercoaster of a hand.

Dencker needed to improve, but Hagberg improved on the KA5 flop.

There was no hope for Dencker on the 7 turn and she stood from the table as the dealer placed the J river.

Vaught had only 86,000 left after the hand but picked up the blinds by shoving for her remaining stack next hand.

She got it through and showed AQ.

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Stephani Hagberg limped from the small blind and Maribel Chapa-Gracia checked the big blind.

The 385 flop was check-called by Hagberg after Chapa-Gracia bet 10,000.

Both players checked down the 7 turn and K river and Chapa-Gracia showed 28 for a pair of eights, and Hagberg mucked.
