Demirel Takes From Rocco

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

On the river of a AQ65J board, Tolga Demirel faced a bet of 90,000 by Michael Rocco and what followed was a long tank of more than three minutes. The clock was called and Demirel eventually called.

"I think you are good," Rocco said and was shown the AK106 for broadway by Demirel, which was indeed good. Somewhat annoyed, Rocco fiddled with the cards and mentioned he had a set of queens - a new deck was needed afterwards.

Francort Doubles Through Marji With a Boat

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Javier Francort
Javier Francort

Javier Francort made it 42,000 from the cutoff before Melad Marji three-bet to 138,000 from the small blind. Francort called.

Marji bet 24,000 on the KQK flop, and Francort made the call.

The 2 landed on the turn, and Marji jammed for Francort's remaining 55,000. Francort instantly called.

Javier Francort: KQJ8 All in
Melad Marji: AK98

Francort had a boat, and only an ace on the river would end his tournament. The 3 river was clean for Francort, and he doubled up at the expense of Marji.

All You Can Pot

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

There was a pot-sized raise to 106,000 in front of Brandon Crawford and Erik Nordstrand then reraised the pot to 358,000 in the next seat out of the big blind. Alex Livingston and Gabriel Andrade had folded, and Crawford came to the same conclusion.

Up next, two limps reached to Crawford and he bumped it up to 66,000. Livingston called this time and checked the K32 flop. Livingston checked it over to Crawford, who bet 54,000 to scoop the pot.

Hubbard, Kuney & Harrison All Bust vs Liu

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Stephen Hubbard
Stephen Hubbard

The biggest pot of the tournament just occurred on Table #668.

On a flop of 394, Stephen Hubbard, Michael Kuney, and Robert Harrison got all of their chips into the middle with Zhengpeng Liu being the player with the covering stack trying to bust all three.

Michael Kuney: A765 All in
Robert Harrison: 6542 All in
Stephen Hubbard: 5432 All in
Zhengpeng Liu: K998

Liu had the nuts right now with top set, and was against three wraps from his opponents. The Q on the turn was good for Liu, as no one picked up any backdoor draws. The K landed on the river, which meant Liu's set of nines won him a pot of over two million and sent three players home.

Lady Luck

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

When action folded to Stephen Chidwick in the cutoff, he elected to limp in. The player in the small blind did the same before seeing Kurtis Tinfow, in the big blind, raise to 48,000. Chidwick called, but the small blind got out of the way.

Tinfow continued for 120,000 on the Q54 flop, and again, Chidwick called.

The 4 turn didn't slow the action as Tinfow moved all in for 94,000; a bet which Chidwick snap-called.

Kurtis Tinfow: AAQJ All in
Stephen Chidwick: J874

Chidwick had turned trips, which had Tinfow in bad shape. However, the river Q came to his rescue, improving him to better trips than Chidwick.

Tinfow sat back down in his seat as the dealer pushed the pot his way.

In a preflop all-in, Sascha Wilhelm was at risk for 186,000 with the AKQ6 and up against the QJ108 of Miltiadis Kyriakides.

On the 722 flop, Wilhelm gasped an "uh oh" but held thanks to the A turn and J river.

"Now I can start playing poker," the German jokingly exclaimed.

Robins' Set Eliminates Sharma

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

R Robins raised to 30,000 from the hijack, and only Nishant Sharma called from the big blind.

Upon seeing the 1084 flop, Sharma jammed for 78,000, and Robins instantly called.

Nishant Sharma: A1072 All in
R Robins: A883

Sharma was in rough shape against the set of Robins. The K turn and 6 river kept Robins ahead, and Sharma was out of the event.
