Le Stuns Pollak on the River; Demaci Puts in a Big Shove on Butters
Hieu Le was in middle position with a raise of 60,000 in front of him before Craig Pollak moved all in for 337,000 on the button. Le called to put him at risk.
Craig Pollak: 7♣7♦
Hieu Le: A♠K♣
Pollak remained in the lead with his sevens on the 2♥9♦10♣ flop, while the Q♦ turn gave Le a straight draw to go with his overcards. Le spiked the J♦ on the river to make his straight and send Pollak to the rail.
At the same time at another table, Christopher Demaci and Samuel Butters saw the turn on a board of 3♣J♥8♣9♥ with around 300,000 in the pot. Demaci then moved all in.
"You're a PLO player, right?" Butters asked as he went into the tank while considering the decision for his last 500,000.
While Butters was pondering making the call, Alex Bergfors told his tablemates how he wants to be remembered. "If that asteroid hits tomorrow, I want to be right here bluffing off my stack. And if the bluff gets through, I'll say let's go. A million years from now they'll discover a fossil and say, 'there is the guy who got the last bluff in at the 2025 World Series of Poker," Bergfors said.
Meanwhile, Butters eventually folded and Demaci took down the pot without a showdown.
