Freitas Fired on the River

Myles German raised under the gun to 900, Arnaud Mattern called on his direct left, Richard Freitas called on the button, Theo Gillis called in the small blind and Robert Ashelm called in the big blind.

Mattern fired out a bet of 3,200 when the flop came 6J8, and Freitas was the only caller. Both players checked when the 2 hit the turn.

Mattern checked when the Q was dealt on the river, and Freitas fired out a bet of 13,000, Mattern asked the dealer for a count and folded once the amount got confirmed.

Heads-up on a completed board of 1028JJ with several thousand in the middle, Matt Hunt wagered 4,000 from the hijack and Ian Cohen raised to 35,500 on the button — leaving himself just 300 behind.

Hunt tanked a bit before sticking in a call and Cohen showed A4 for a stone bluff.

Hunt revealed 55, which got a "Nice call!" from several of his tablemates as he collected the pot.

Chen Puts Pressure on Rich

MenQi Chen four-bet to 10,100 from the small blind, and Bradley Rich called in the hijack. Chen continued for 5,000 on the 275 flop, which Rich min-raised to 10,000. Meng flicked in a call, after which the 8 turn was dealt.

Both players checked, resulting in the 8 river arriving on the board. Chen slid in enough chips to put Rich all-in for 38,000. After some thought, Rich let his hand go, tabling QQ for an overpair.

Chen just showed the K as he was awarded the pot, seeing him chip up to a six-figure stack.

Nowicki Takes from Alcorn

Level 3 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Matthew Nowicki raised to 1,000 in middle position before Heather Alcorn put in a three-bet to 3,000 from the small blind. Nowicki called, and the two went to a flop.

Alcorn opted to start with a check on the Q10Q flop, before calling a bet of 2,400 from her opponent.

Nowicki didn't let up on the 5 turn. When checked to for a second time, he fired out again, this time for 5,000. This was enough to get the job done as Alcorn opted to fold.

Russell Doubles Up with a Straight

Four-way on a flop of J9Q, Giovanni Di Donato in middle position bet. Jimmy Guerrero on the button folded, but Paul Russell in the small blind raised all-in for 8,300. The big blind folded and Di Donato snap-called.

Russell ran into a set of queens but hit a straight with the 8 turn. The A river changed nothing and Russell doubled up.

Vahabi Busts After Painful Runout

Mehrdad Vahabi shoved for 4,200 from under the gun and received calls from Aaron Motoyama on the button and Michael Reisman in the big blind.

The flop came 224. Reisman bet 10,000 and Motoyama folded.

Reisman's pocket fives were ahead but Vahabi made aces up on the A turn and became a big favorite to triple up. The 7 river gave Reisman the best hand with a flush and Vahabi was sent to the rail.

Dickey Springs the Trap

Hen Rosilio raised to 1,000 from under the gun, and when action folded to Charles Dickey in the small blind, he three-bet to 2,700. Rosilio called, and the two went to a flop.

Dickey started with a check-call on the 8A6 flop, when Rosilio placed a bet of 3,000.

Rosilio continued with the aggression on the 7 turn, this time wagering 6,000. Dickey sprang into action, though, check-raising to 15,000. Rosilio didn't take too long to come to a decision, returning his cards to the dealer, and with that, surrendering the pot to Dickey.

Picking up the action on a 1043 flop, Iago Sturzeneker and Easton Oreman checked from the blinds to Justin Jones on the button, who bet 1,200. Sturzeneker then made ir 4,000 to go, which Oreman and Jones both called.

The 10 turn checked through to the Q river. Sturzneker checked again, after which Oreman bombed 14,500 chips on the felt. Jones let his hand go, but Sturzeneker tossed in calling chips.

Oreman could only show a bluff with his 65, leaving Sturzeneker to win the pot, as he had called with A9 for just ace-high.

Gabriel Paul made it 1,000 to go from the button and only Wendeen Eolis called from the big blind.

Eolis knuckled the action over to Paul on the K108 flop. Paul bet 1,000, which Eolis called.

Eolis checked again on the 4 turn, prompting Paul to fire a second bet of 2,700. Eolis put together a check-raise to 5,500, and Paul made the call.

The 7 river went check-check and Eolis revealed the winner with AK for a pair of kings.
