Another One Bites the Dust

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

After an early position raise to 500, Tyler Gaston moved all in for 5,600. Louis Warlow called from the cutoff, before the small blind, Carlos Martinez, four-bet to 15,300. The initial raiser folded, but Warlow called again.

Martinez continued with a bet of 7,700 on the 966 flop, and Warlow promptly folded.

Tyler Gaston: AQ All in
Carlos Martinez: AK

An unenviable situation for Gaston, at risk and dominated in the first level of the day.

There was no help on the 8 turn, nor the 5 river, resulting in Gaton vacating his seat and heading to the exit.

Viktor Blom
Viktor Blom

Viktor Blom made it 600 from under the gun with Mario Hudson calling from the cutoff, Nathan Ivarsen calling from the button, and Andrew Yee defending his big blind.

Yee checked the 10QK flop, prompting Blom to fire a continuation-bet of 1,200 into his three opponents. This was enough to get three quick folds, and Blom dragged in the pot.

A Good River For Josephsen

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Ati Khatri raised to 600 in the cutoff and Steven Josephsen called on the button and in the small blind, Nicholas Beecher three-bet to 3,100 which only Josephsen called.

The flop rolled out Q93 and Beecher bet 2,200 and Josephsen called.

Both players checked the turn 5 to the river 7 where Beecher bet 3,200 and Josephsen called.

Beecher turned over Q10 for a pair of queens, but it was no good against the 77 in Josephsen's hand and he raked in the pot.

Yueqi Zhu

Thomas Henshaw couldn't get away from his pocket kings just minutes after taking his seat Friday on Day 1c of the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, and it cost him his entire 60,000-chip starting stack.

The field, at the time of publishing, had over 1,300 players registered. Henshaw was the first player out the door, just moments after Jack Effel announced "shuffle up and deal." He ran into a preflop cooler against poker pro Yueqi Zhu and was unable to avoid busting with a hand that didn't improve with the five community cards.

Jacks Up For Davenport

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Action was picked up on the flop in a pot with 2,100 in the middle between Damarjai Davenport in the small blind, Kalyan Akula in the big blind, and David Berman in the cutoff.

The board read J52 and action checked around to Berman who bet 1,000. Davenport raised to 3,100 and both Akula and Berman called.

Everyone checked the K turn to the 10 river where Davenport bet 6,700 and only Berman called.

Davenport showed J5 for jacks up, prompting a frustrated Berman to flash QQ and Davenport raked in the pot.
