"Definitely Not Defending" says 2024 Main Event Champion Jonathan Tamayo

Defending Main Event champion Jonathan Tamayo is back where it all began twelve months ago: Day 1d of the WSOP Main Event.

With the pressure off after last year's life-changing win, Tamayo says the game feels freer, even as he battles through a rough summer and mixed reactions at the table.

“There's always a shot,” he says. "Sitting down is just the first step in a thousand!"
